We were lucky to catch up with India Anthony recently and have shared our conversation below.

India , appreciate you joining us today. Going back to the beginning – how did you come up with the idea in the first place?

I came up with this business after seeing a Facebook post on balloon decorations I got so inspired I started practicing on my own so I could get good at it. Once I got good enough to actually create for other people I didn’t hesitate to start my own business ..I got my llc and made my own Google account and gained clients and then found an amazing bookings site that gained me client from there I was in the loop I got really good at what I do ….

India , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Im from Milwaukee Wisconsin I’m a trans woman of color in the LGBT community I grew up in poverty all my life and was treated differently but I always stated in good spirits I’m knew I was destined for greater things. Here I am in Atlanta want to gain a stable income I started a business called celebrations Ballon boutique to help celebrate others because I know so well how it feels to not to be celebrated . I decor and plan my clients events and my custom gift for my special clients ✨️ which all my clients every want is to feel celebrated and special

Can you share one of your favorite marketing or sales stories?

I remember when I tried Yelp for the first time to gain more clients but I ended up getting plenty of scam messages and a few clients idk maybe I needed someone to help with marketing.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

My best source to get clients is from Google maps and my booking site .
