Ily, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Going back to the beginning – how did you come up with the idea in the first place?
This idea really came about in the days leading up to my wedding. I was a covid bride so my wedding was pushed back to 2023 and I asked a family member to follow me around just shooting video on my phone. I love posting stories so I wanted content for that. They nicely declined and I was bummed but the show went on. A couple of weeks later I saw this thing called “Wedding content creator” and a light bulb went off. I am a big believer that the universe plants ideas in our head for a reason. I was pregnant with my second baby at the time and I told my husband that after I had him I was going to dive in head first and that is exactly what I did. I didn’t know if I was going to succeed or fail, but the wonderful part about being a serial entrepreneur is that you are no longer that scared to take the leap. I have an amazing support system in my husband and family that believes in me so much it leaves me no option than to believe in myself.
Ily, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’m a proud first-generation Mexican American, born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in the vibrant warmth of Miami, Florida. My roots are deep, and they mean everything to me. My mom, who came to this country as immigrants in pursuit of a better life, is my greatest source of inspiration. She built her own successes as entrepreneurs, showing me what determination and resilience look like.
Growing up, I watched life hand us some tough challenges, but my mom never gave up. She never threw in the towel, and that persistence left a lasting mark on me. I carry that same spirit with me in everything I do.
I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, but being a creative at heart, I’ve always pursued artistic outlets. That’s where Memory Hotline was born—a business that blends my passion for the wedding industry with my need to channel creativity. From wedding and event content creation to custom love songs and audio guestbook rentals, we offer unique ways to capture life’s most precious moments. And we’re just getting started.
My vision is to expand, eventually becoming a one-stop shop for all things memory-related. What sets me apart in this space is my background in photography—it’s given me an eye for detail and a unique perspective on how to preserve moments that matter. I take pride in creating beautiful things & really learning all the programs needed to make things the best they can be.
I want everyone who reads this to know that I am so passionate about what I do and that I will always give my absolute best to everything that I do. For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
Creating something that makes people cry, and not in the bad way! I love capturing and creating beautiful videos or helping my husband write a beautiful love song. I have always written poetry so it helps when there’s a song that needs a little pull of the heartstrings.
Is there mission driving your creative journey?
My goal and mission is to be present with my family. I think that time is fleeting and if I can maximize the time that is spent being with my family that will always be my end goal. All while doing something that creativity challenges me and allows me to learn and grow is just a cherry on top.
