Ilona , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s jump into the story of starting your own firm – what should we know?
I decided to start my own Public Relations firm in 2014. Prior to starting my business, I had worked in professional sports for over 14 years. Entrepreneurship and owning my own business was always a goal of mine. Through many years of hard work I was able to combine my love of public relations and philanthropy to help my clients. For any young professionals, I think it is important to have experience and work hard for your clients. When I was in college at the University of Florida, I spent my summers interning at tv and radio stations and it helped me gain experience.
Ilona , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I care deeply about producing results and positive earned media coverage for clients. Anoli Management provides services nationwide and in local markets in the areas of public relations and charitable outreach. We work with clients in the entertainment, restaurant, non-profit and business industries. In addition to public relations, I work closely with helping current and retired professional athletes all over the country with their foundations and philanthropy. After working for the Miami Dolphins for over 14 years and overseeing the Community Relations Department, Foundation and Player Appearances. I saw there was a continued need for professional athletes to have someone who has experience help with their charitable giving and foundations. When I started Anoli Management in 2014 some of my first clients were professional athletes. Over the years I have grown my business to work with restaurants including franchisees and other businesses.
I am most proud of the long term clients I have that are like family. I enjoy sharing all the good news my clients have in the community and their business growth. They do so much good in the community it always inspires me to do my best.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
I have always been a hard worker and deeply care about producing results. During my entire career getting back to people has always been a priority of mine. I have always been able to multi-task well. In the Public Relations industry events and news happens seven days a week and I am always available to clients.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
The best source of new clients for me is referrals from existing clients. It means a lot to have clients who believe in me and my work ethic and help my business grow.
