We were lucky to catch up with Ill Minds recently and have shared our conversation below.

ILL, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

iLL Minds has been creating original music for nearly three decades, so we’ve all started at a young age. Inspired by Hall of Fame artists such as KRS-One, Wu Tang Clan, Guns n Roses, and Rage Against the Machine, iLL Minds music crosses multiple genres and continues to adapt and explore new musical experiences.

ILL, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

iLL Minds music originally started in New Jersey and is now operating mainly out of Florida, USA. We are an independent music group now known as iLL Minds Entertainment, LLC. Our latest songs are now streaming on more than 100 platforms worldwide, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and many other music apps.

While our music is generally based on hip-hop, rap, and rock, we continue to explore additional genres to reach our full potential.

iLL Minds Entertainment now has more than 230K YouTube subscribers, where we are now featuring some new must see videos, such as “Thickness” by iLL Minds (featuring IsacDaComeBac) here:

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

iLL Minds creates music for the people. Our goal is to create quality music that people of all origins and backgrounds can enjoy.

Growing up in the rough city streets of New Jersey, and just across the Hudson River in Manhattan, NYC, iLL Minds likes to talk about what we’ve learned and experienced over the years.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

The most rewarding part of creating new music is seeing our fans enjoying our music and videos. We truly appreciate all the kind comments and support from our fans, and a special thanks to YouTube for sending us our plaque for surpassing 100K subscribers.
