We were lucky to catch up with Ignyssium recently and have shared our conversation below.

Ignyssium, appreciate you joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.

The most meaningful project I’ve worked on so far is my latest album, “Retro Dreamer: Afterglow.” I say this because this is the first time I’ve included vocals on one of my albums. I am so proud to have something that I wrote, emotionally delivered by two talented vocalists. One being my beautiful and supportive boyfriend, Ylandi, as well as the amazing Callista Laguna.

Ignyssium, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I am from a small town in Georgia, not too far from the Atlanta area. I always knew I was meant for more than just the every-day grind. From the first time I heard techno, I was drawn into another dimension. I immediately wanted to create musik like that one day! It just makes me feel out of this world, and I want my creations to give that same feeling! I wanted to be myself with it and use that to let others know that that’s what makes art beautiful. To be different and to be experiencing unique lives, allows us all to interpret multiple points of view through creativity. One of the ways I do this is by giving back to my community with my More2Musik foundation. I will promote a track from a newly-released album and I will donate a percentage to a needy cause, whether it’s local, national, or world-wide.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

What I feel is the highest reward I receive from my musik is the happiness it gives others, and myself, in return. When a friend tells me that they Love that new track or a follower on social may share my latest release and root for me, it makes me feel so good inside. It reminds me that I’m doing what I Love to do and it may be helping someone else have a good day or even just a good moment. And to me, that makes all the difference. We all know musik touches us. I’ve definitely been inspired by so many others.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?

I am driven to create more musik for a multitude of reasons! I want to keep learning and progressing in my musik production. I would Love to keep working with vocalists and other artists in the future, with lyric writing and creating compositions. Ultimately, I’d say the main drive is simply the fun and excitement it brings!
