Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Iesha Congo Watson . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Iesha , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s jump right into how you came up with the idea?
I came up with the idea for my business after much prayer and meditation with God during a very traumatic time in my life . During my time of grief I had to find something calming . I also realized that I found joy in making things “beautiful” and I needed to share that and create that for other women. I felt the need to uplift and empower other women. I realized I couldn’t be idle in this season . I also realized my purpose was to do the work of God and it was through devotional time and prayer I received confirmation on how to do that. The confirmation was that I needed to go out amongst the people . And although we live in a world of social media , I realized it’s not just about how many people see you , it’s about how many people you’re reaching . It’s about how many souls you’re connecting with to help over life challenges .

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
My journey over the last 5 years is marked by resilience, having faced the profound loss of both a daughter and a son over the last few years. In the face of adversity, I decided to dedicate my life to guiding others through healing and finding purpose beyond grief. It was only through strong faith and support that I was able to get through the journey and understand the sunrise after the sunset ; and to see the brighter side of things.
My faith allowed me to withstand and embrace my resilience
Have you ever had to pivot?
My faith based business ironically came out of a time of grief and a desire to help women like myself . I launched the business in 2019 , but it wasn’t soon after in 2021, I was struck with another devastating loss that left me without any drive or motivation . I had to start my healing process all over and that meant I had to pivot and revamp my business . I had to adapt a new mindset concerning everything in my life .
