Idaia, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?

I’m all about body positivity and your loving yourself. I wasn’t always a big beautiful woman I was smaller at first and I had to learn to love my body. I just feel like besides being naked lingerie is the most intimate thing you can have with yourself. I know when I wear it I feel sexy and confident. I want everyone to love and embrace there bodies. So I help people with self love and self care through lingerie . I have lingerie from small to 5x.

Idaia , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I own Skyn By Idaia a lingerie store that sells lingerie small to 5x.I help people with self love, self care & confidence through lingerie. My business caters to all shapes and sizes. I come across so many people that’s not happy with their bodies but I’m here to help you love yourself and love your body. If you feel good inside you feel good outside. I’m proud that I can make my customers love their self and their bodies. I do empowerment classes/workshops & self confident pole dancing classes.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

I reached out to people with major followings and made them my brand ambassador. You have to know your customer base and start from there. Promote! Promote! Promote! Promote! Reach out to possible customers. Don’t be afraid.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?

I own this company and I do everything by myself with no help. I always have set backs but that’s apart of being a entrepreneur. You can’t give up. You have to have a plan A-Z. Challenges will always come your way but you have to keep moving forward. Success doesn’t happen over night. It’s a process, Just know everything is worth it at the end.
