Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Icekcream . We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Icekcream thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. So, let’s start with a hypothetical – what would you change about the educational system?
One thing I would change about the educational system is how it teaches individuals to work for someone else, but neglects to teach them how to be independent, especially when it comes to the challenges faced by creatives, particularly artists.
My teachers always focused on preparing us for the corporate world, emphasizing careers in creative agencies. The highest position they mentioned for someone in my major, as publicist, was being a creative in a campaign at an agency. They also stressed how competitive and challenging it is to secure such a position.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
As an entrepreneur who’ve been through the business rollercoaster herself… I get it – juggling everything is tough. That’s why I decided to create content for brands trough UGC and as a Microinfluencer.
My main goal is to share experiences while I create promotional videos as a highly effective strategy to boost business’s visibility, foster brand trust and engagement, and reach specific audiences in a creative and authentic way.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Throughout my career, I’ve encountered moments where I needed to pivot and reinvent myself. As an entrepreneur, this adaptability is constant because your business reflects who you are. Investing in personal growth and development is not just beneficial for oneself but also crucial for expanding your business. Personally, I’ve faced challenges related to people-pleasing tendencies since a young age, which inevitably influenced my approach to business. Initially, setting prices for my services and expertise was difficult, especially considering cultural differences in perceptions of time and value, particularly in Costa Rica. However, I learned that there are always individuals who recognize the value of your time, even within such contexts. It’s about finding the right audience that aligns with your product and mission and, importantly, respects your time.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Building an audience on social media is a journey that many of us find challenging. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach or magic recipe because we all have unique personalities, goals, and industries. As a publicist, artist, and content creator, I’ve found that success often comes when I create from intuition, passion, and spontaneity. My advice is to stay true to yourself, share your authentic self with enthusiasm, and embrace what excites you. It’s important to remember that authenticity is multifaceted; you can be true to yourself while also safeguarding what is sacred and private.Lastly, I’d just say, don’t get too caught up in comparing yourself, chasing fake authenticity, or spending more time consuming content than creating it.
