We were lucky to catch up with I Am H.I.M recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi I Am , thanks for joining us today. One of the toughest things about progressing in your creative career is that there are almost always unexpected problems that come up – problems that you often can’t read about in advance, can’t prepare for, etc. Have you had such and experience and if so, can you tell us the story of one of those unexpected problems you’ve encountered?
Well, First Off Let Me Say That I Come From A Broken Home, My Biological Father Was Addicted To Drugs, My Mother Used To Hide Money In Her Panties When She Went To Sleep Because My Father Would Steal Money To Purchase “Crack Cocaine”, My Mother Left My Biological Father, My Mother Fell In Love With My Step Father, My Mother Moved My Older Brother, Older Sister And I Away From Lakewood, NewJersey, I Was Raised In A “Drug Zone” People Call “The Jungle” (Church Street South Apartments) In “Pistol Waving New Haven” (Up North), I Grew Up Around Drugs, Gun Violence And Fighting, My Older Brother & I Were Victims Of Police Brutality As Children, All My Friends Are Dead Or Incarcerated, A Person Named “Carlito” Got Shot, A Street Gang Named “The Latin Kings” Assassinated A Person Named “A – Love” In Retaliation For Carlito Being Killed, My Family & I Were Escorted Out Of The Jungle By Police So People Wouldn’t Be Able To Trace And Kill Us, My Family & I Moved To Florida, I Dropped Out Of High School, I Met The Mother Of My Two Oldest Children, The Mother Of My Two Oldest Children And I Got Married, The Mother Of My Two Oldest Children And I Separated, I Moved Back To New Jersey, Things Didn’t Work Out For Me In New Jersey So I Moved Back To Florida, The Mother Of My Two Oldest Children And I Got Divorced, I Met The Mother Of My 3rd Son “Ruler”, The Mother Of My 3rd Son And I Separated, I Became Homeless, I Got Into A Car Accident 7-11-2017 (The Mother Of My Two Oldest Children And I’s Anniversary), I Lost My Dream Job As A Photographer At The Daytona International Speedway, The Mother Of My Two Oldest Children (Spenser) Passed Away, $38,000 Child Support Debt Accumulated For My Two Oldest Sons, I Have Charges Pending For Non Payment Of Child Support (Facing 6 Months In County Jail), I’m Trying To Retain Full Custody Of My Two Oldest Children Through The Family Court System, I Now Suffer From Chronic Homelessness, I’m Trying To Recover From Disabilities, I Need To Go To Court For A Disability Appeal Hearing, My Youngest Two Children Need Assistance (Financially), My Life Is Discreetly In Life Threatening Danger And I’m Barely Keeping Hope Alive To Resolve All Of My Issues. These Things Were Supposed To Destroy Me But I’m Rebuilding What Was Destroyed. I’m Taking All The Necessary Steps In The Right Direction To Resolve “My Issues” But There Are Some Issues That I Can’t Resolve On My Own Like Medical Corruption, Police Corruption And Terrorism. So I’m Just Keeping Hope Alive.
