Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Hunter Hoaglund. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hunter , thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?

I founded Go Low Golf to help golfers play better golf. Through custom club fitting, our world-class simulators, a full build shop, and certified instructors- we can help golfers in any and all aspects to help them “Go Low”! After working for an industry leader for a couple years as a master fitter, I decided to chase my dream and do what I am most passionate about- helping others play better golf and enjoy this wonderful game a little more than they did before they walked in my doors.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

My name is Hunter Hoaglund- I am a certified master club fitter and builder- and the new owner of Minnesota Golf Lab in Wayzata, Minnesota. I bought Minnesota Golf Lab in October of 2022 with one mission- help local golfers lower their scores and play better golf! Through Custom Club Fitting, Club Services & Repair, Golf Lessons, and Indoor Simulators- we are a one-stop golf shop for all Minnesota Golfers. I wanted to bring back the customer service to the golf industry. When people go to big box stores and spend thousands on new clubs- they don’t receive any follow up communication to make sure the investment they made into their game is actually paying off. I follow up frequently with my clients, seeing if we need to make any tweaks and adjustments. Being able to bend, build, and adjust clubs is a huge benefit to my clients as well as often times we can make their existing set or clubs work better for them rather than buying an entirely new set. Anyone who purchases clubs from me knows they can call/text/email me anytime for help or a follow up. I wanted to bring transparency and customer service into a growing industry that needs it now more than ever. All workmanship of Hunter’s professional custom built golf clubs are guaranteed. If they do not perform as explained by Hunter at the time of the fitting, he will do everything possible to make the clubs work properly as explained at the fitting.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?

Becoming a reliable, knowledgeable, and communicative resource for local golfers. Consistently doing a good job and not “selling” them something they don’t need has built trust with many local MN Golfers.

Can you tell us the story behind how you met your business partner?

I met my partner as a client of his business. I saw his creativity and ingenuity in an industry that needed it so badly and knew I had to get to know the guy. After developing a relationship with him over the past 4 years, I took the leap and called him for his opinion on starting my own business. He was 1000% on board and wanting to help from the very get go and has been a huge supporter of mine.
