We were lucky to catch up with Hunter Haskell recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hunter , appreciate you joining us today. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
I think success is different in every aspect. I define success as being the most valuable asset in your life. The more you believe you can achieve something the more you will succeed. Success is different for everyone but my success is built upon my ability to stay consistent and managing my progress.
Success takes drive and a will to keep going when those hard days come around. Success is not an overnight process; it takes hard work and dedication. You can’t build Rome in one day; so the only way you can achieve success is to make a plan and build on it !
The most important achievement I have ever had was growing my social media presence. I am an active participant in the fitness community. I started with a blank page basically. I moved up very slowly. I made slow associations with people who are also in the industry. I was so nervous to see how this would turn out.
I believe in growing this industry because I’ve met some great people and have worked with several companies in the same area. I have grown to a standpoint which I have worked with over a dozen companies i.e collaborations, in person events, sponsorship, and other forms of promotion.
One thing I can say is there is work behind the screen I use to make things happen. I take time to talk to people and companies. To reach out to fellow influencers and express promotional ideas. It’s not all fun and games. It’s timely and takes percise action.
At last , Success is an action that anyone can take. I took action to grow my own social media presence. I don’t take success lightly. I believe if you put your mind to it you will get the best results.
To great success comes from strength and knowledge. Don’t give up and stay focused.
Hunter , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I became a social media influencer in the last three years. I honestly did not know I was going to make it to where I’m at now. I stayed steady on my feet and kept going with my plan. I took offers and made strides to build my presence.
I did not choose at first to be an influencer but my focus say’s different. At first I thought it was some sort of luck based game but it turned out not to be.
The most interesting and proud moment I’ve had in this industry was the reaction. The good and the bad reaction of content. I liked hearing the feedback and etc.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
I would particularly say in my journey of weight loss. I had all the right tools and things given to me to keep the weight off. I nearly almost quit my journey and started to slip back into bad shape.
I kept pushing myself and trying. It took a lot of effort but eventually I finally got back to my goal. My mental health played a big part also; so maintaining that was crucial.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
I believe there is I forgot to mention that I represent my social media account to body positivity. I highly promote positive body image. I despise societal norms that don’t align to me. I believe my presence on social media is inspiring and helpful to others. I am eager to help people feel better and inspire them to become better.
My mission is always to encourage other people to love themselves when they don’t feel like it. Also to create a positive message through the media to help them feel welcome.
