We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Huncho Henderson. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Huncho below.
Alright, Huncho thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
I first knew i wanted to be an Actor in middle school. I would watch Martin , and Fresh Prince Of Bel Air and just knew that was my dream to be an actor. I even had it written in my year book next to my picture (laughing) What really made me feel like i could do it was my drama teacher in high school. She told me how talented i was and funny, and that staying focused and using that talent would get me far. I actually performed a Denzel Washington scene for my drama class and got a standing ovation. It really made me realize this goal of mines was possible.

Huncho, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Yea of course , I’m an actor , producer , writer and director. I first got into the industry when i auditioned for a movie called TRADING SOLES. It’s Directed by Christina Cooper who was amazing to work with, and produced and written by Carlos Robins. I sent in my audition and got the role. I’m honestly grateful for my mom she actually recorded my audition for me. So shout out to my mom (laughing) but yea i want people to know just be yourself and believe you can do anything. That’s what i truly believe. Hard work and focus will take you very far.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Yea my goal is to win an Emmy Award and an Oscar. And to also bring upcoming talent along the way.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The reward is seeing your dream come to life. All the hard work and passion you put into your art and to see yourself prosper and get it done is the biggest reward.
