We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Hugh Stephner. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Hugh below.
Hi Hugh, thanks for joining us today. What’s the best or worst investment you’ve made?
The best investment I’ve made was Time. The more time you put into learning how to grow your business will reflect the best outcome, not just for your business but also you will grow more successful
Hugh, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I am a full time record producer/audio engineer. I provided music production services as well as mixing and mastering services. My job is to take your vision and translate that into sound that moves the soul. Billion Earz Studios was created once I was confident in my abilities to produce a professional sound no matter how challenging the task.
Can you open up about how you funded your business?
Running a successful is possible with the right capital behind it. I’ve spend years studying personal credit and how to use it to build business credit. I don’t use my own money to fund my business I use “other people’s money” as the 1% say. Credit is your best friend if used correctly, you could go from making $25hr to an annual salary of six figures in 2-3 years.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
I had to unlearn what relationships are and how they work. Society teaches us the text book version which is go to school get a job get married and have children. This is not the case for everyone in fact, I now look at relationships from a business perspective, the friendships I have with my peers was one of my lessons. I had to remember no matter how close we become as friends our relationship was built around business.
