We were lucky to catch up with Hope McGill recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hope, appreciate you joining us today. What’s been the best thing you’ve ever seen (or done yourself) to show a customer that you appreciate them?
I believe you never forget how a person makes you feel. I’m big on sending handwritten notes on every invoice. I also include sweet treats, free candy is always shipped with each order. When time permits I will also send a thank you card affixed with a raised wax seal that has my business logo. They absolutely LOVE this. These small tokens of appreciation go a long way.

My name is Hope McGill, I am the owner of Beaded By Hope. I created bespoke beaded jewelry tailored to fit any gender, age, size, or shape. I fell in love with waist beads about five years ago but there weren’t any beaders that created plus-size waist beads. I did a little research and decided to make my own and Beaded By Hope was born! It went from waist beads to beaded bracelets for women, men and children. Beaded necklaces, beaded eye glass chains, ankle bracelets and beaded wearable shawls! I’ve shipped to almost every state domestically. I’ve also sent items to Canada, United Kingdom, Japan, Belize, Trinidad, Barbados, and Germany. My jewelry has been on the cover of books and magazines. All of this simply by word of mouth. I love what I do and it’s a blessing to continue to be in such high demand.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
Word of mouth, five-star google ratings, consistency and a unique product. I make it my business to troubleshoot any problems and I follow up and ask for feedback. Although I love being compensated the true reward is knowing that I made my client happy.

My website Beadedbyhope.com is my top seller. I believe that your website is a representation of your brand so I took a lot of time into selecting a top-of-the-line web designer.
