Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Hope & Jake Germany. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hope & Jake, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
The idea of TWEAK came straight out of nostalgia. We’re both 90s babies and wanted to bring that throwback feeling to our city. Our shop is fully immersive and makes you feel like you just stepped into your childhood, allowing you to be creative and wear something that represents exactly who you are or what you want to say.

Hope & Jake, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Jake has been a graphic designer and brand director for several artists and businesses for the past few years. So with that and my background in community management for other businesses, we decided to launch TWEAK. The whole idea of TWEAK is that it’s a brand made by you. You’re able to shop through our blank apparel and add a design from either our expansive look books or you can come with your own personal ideas that Jake, our in-house designer, can help bring to life.
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
Social media is so important. We try to tell stories that allow our followers to feel included, while staying true to our brand. As we mentioned before, we’re rooted in nostalgia, so it’s so fun to see people get excited to feel that nostalgia with us while the newer millennials experience it for the first time.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Aside from our shop at OneCity in Nashville, we do a lot of pop ups for businesses, artists, record labels, and private parties where we’re making apparel on site. These have been so fun but also so beneficial to our business. Guests are able to come into our pop up experience and leave with a custom piece that allows them to remember that special moment. After each event, we typically end up with requests for another event by guests that got to partake in a pop up experience.
