We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Hope Hartley a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hope, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. If you had a defining moment that you feel really changed the trajectory of your career, we’d love to hear the story and details.
A defining moment in my professional career was when I witnessed one of my first clients witness herself, accept, and love herself for the first time. In this particular session about 10 years ago, this woman was suffering with depression and years of anxiety. We were able to process her early childhood abuse, her body somatically (shaking, crying) began to release the built up tension and stress within her nervous system and she begin to smile with joy. At the time, I knew she was feeling loved, most importantly I knew she was feeling loved by herself. As she announced that she could feel it, that she could feel herself moving forward, that she knew this was no longer going to hold her back she began to radiate joy on the table. She had been struggling with infertility, and within the month, she and her husband were pregnant. This moment opened a further calling for me to step into work, to step into the spaces where others don’t like to go, to lead people back to the worst moments of their life in a safe, integrated way, that allowed for them to move forward to the life they deserve. What started as intuitive hobby, turned into a fully vested career learning how to support someone holistically to living as the version of themselves they were always born to be.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
With a strong background in psychology, energetic healing, and several practices including reiki, somatic healing, and postpartum care, I have woven together a more clinical, full body, sustainable healing experience. I have years of healthcare and mental health experience, that has given me the education and resources to provide life changing care. I establish foundations of health within my clients lifestyle to activate the bodies natural ability to heal, to conceive, to move out of stagnancy, depression, hopelessness or anxiety. I simply remind people of their innate worthiness, which often sets off a chain of behaviors and choices that support them towards their goals, fast. I work with clinical grade supplements, essential oils, drums, rattles, and breath work to create a very unique, very impactful experience. I combine take aways and follow ups with outlined steps and goals that are achievable and purposeful. I am extremely proud of my clients successes over the years, from coming out of major depressive disorder, to conceiving after years of infertility, to healing from sexual abuse and gaining trust in intimacy, I have witnessed profound miracles- simply by the lifting of trauma, fears, and learned harmful behaviors. I have a special skill at allowing my clients to move through their own excuses, with unconditional love and dedicated coaching.
If you could go back, would you choose the same profession, specialty, etc.?
From early corporate success in leadership roles, to experiencing a life calling, I would choose what I do every single day. In fact, I have too. I choose to continue seeking the ways I can support others to also live a purposeful life. I believe, very much, that my human design is to support in this way. My strengths, and my weaknesses, led me to this role and led me to birthing my business, Wild Peace.
Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?
In this health and wellness industry, there is quite a bit of overlapping and practitioners speaking to the same things. What has helped me build my reputation is my education, experience, and my clients success. I am constantly reminded at how courageous my clients are too walk through my door, as truly those that do are ready for change. I help those that have tried everything else, that maybe traditional medicine and therapy did not quite help (although I often recommend integration of all as truly everyone deserves a thorough care team) and my clients results, such as healing from hormonal imbalances, relationship struggles, financial burdens, speak for themselves. I am grateful to have clients who are willing to share their stories and often refer their friends and colleagues to me. I am also grateful to have many providers in the area know who I am, and support their patients in continuing the work with me. This has been built through integrity, and respect for all aiming to improve other’s lives.
