We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Hope Beryl-Green. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Hope below.
Hope, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
Starting my anti trafficking ministry, and writing my book To Tell the Truth, about my life story of enduring sex trafficking took a kind of bravery that I didn’t think I had. I had faced rejection all of my life, and to put my story in the hands of people who could possibly reject me and not believe me was beyond daunting. Also, financially it was a burden, because I felt that the Lord wanted me to quit my job and write full time. This was a giant leap of faith for me and my husband. I was able to finish my book in record time! Just in time, for me to go share my story in the Senate, to bring awareness to sex trafficking, and what each and every person can do to combat it in our communities.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I was born into sex trafficking and trafficked for over twenty years of my life. Until I got the opportunity to get free due to a Christian couple that took me in, prayed for me, gave me a place to live, a job, and the love that I desperately needed. When I got free, I focused solely on healing and using the hell I went through for a purpose. For the past twenty years, I have been sharing my story of being born into sex trafficking. Advocating for, educating, encouraging other sex trafficking survivors and organizations to support trafficking victims and survivors. I have shared my story on TV, news, airports, churches, colleges, government, podcasts, radio, and conferences to name a few. My nonprofit There is Freedom gives glory to God first and foremost focuses on rescuing children from sex trafficking and provides an opportunity for others to see that they can be free with the Lord’s help!
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
The fact that I’m living a free, prosperous life after being enslaved since birth shows the resilience that God put within me. The capability to recover from a lifetime of abuse shines bright with resilience. Now, I’m a health coach, speaker, author, and wife while supporting survivors through their healing journey.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The rewarding aspect of being a creative author and speaker is that I can impact people’s lives in a powerful way! I can share the love of God and Jesus life. What I have learned through my twenty-year healing journey I can share to help people avoid what didn’t work and heal faster and deeper than I did. Our testimony helps others overcome while providing a safe space for people to be honest about their struggles.
