We were lucky to catch up with Holly Holland recently and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Holly thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Let’s start with the story of your mission. What should we know?
Being financially empowered is so important because when you make your own money and are knowledgeable about money then you control your own financial destiny. I am on a mission to help others become financially empowered so that they can control their own destinies. When you are financially free you can invest into other businesses, other people, and your community. Financial freedom allows you to do so much more than just pay bills and that’s why I want to help others achieve financial freedom.
Holly, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am Holly Holland, the CEO of Holland Financial. I am a Tax Preparer who service clients in all 50 states. I got into this industry because I had a burning passion for financial freedom and to help others achieve the same. Being a tax preparer helps others minimize their tax liability and ensures that your taxes are done right so that you don’t owe money. Tax preparing solves tax liability issues. For some individuals and families, it also helps to collect money back that is owed to them and that helps solve the issues of being low on finances. I am proud to be able to help many individuals and families with their taxes during this time of the year.
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
The most effective strategy for growing my clientele has been marketing. A lot of business owners don’t market their business. Passing out flyers, giving back to the community so that they will get to know who we are and what service we provide is a helpful marketing strategy. Our grab and go soup event is a good way to market. This is where individuals can come to a location and grab some soup and get to meet the staff of Holland Financial. This allows the community to put a face with a name. We see client growth through these innovative marketing strategies.
Do you have any insights you can share related to maintaining high team morale?
Being personal with my team like texting daily motivational quotes. Theses are humans on my team so being mindful that there’s more to them than preparing taxes and that they may have situations in their lives going on that require motivation helps with management. Showing up for myself as a leader sets an example for them to show up for themselves daily. Also knowing the skill level of every team member helps maximize each person’s potential on my team.
