Hima, appreciate you joining us today. Let’s jump right into how you came up with the idea?
For as long as I remember I have always had a passion for design. At a very young age I used to sketch designs of jewelry, dresses and abstract art too. I used to draw a lot whenever I get time. I am a self taught designer and I get inspired from nature, travel, contemporary art, and vibrant colors of gem stones. I have just followed my heart to fulfill my dream by leaving behind my career as a doctor and brought “Eraya” to life which is an amalgamation of the names of my children.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I have just followed my heart to fulfill my dream by leaving behind my career as a doctor and brought “Eraya” to life which is an amalgamation of the names of my children. My palette of collection includes one of a kind geometric & organic designs inspired by mother nature and experiences during my travel. I believe in creating chic & elegant pieces which are meant to be worn and enjoyed everyday effortlessly. I believe in core values of Authenticity, Design & Perfection! “Eraya” is a “Luxury Jewelry line” which focusses on intricate Design, Quality and Perfection. It also makes sure that these jewels are accessible to the widest audience and strives to surpass trends and seasons in being unique & timeless.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
When I see the admiration and happiness on a client’s face after delivering a bespoke design, I feel so fulfilled. The whole process starts from discussions to a simple paper sketch and finally getting converted into a physical piece.
What’s worked well for you in terms of a source for new clients?
Its always been through word of mouth by my old clients or friends.
