I’ve always known that the creative path was meant for me, even from a young age. However, embarking on this journey required me to unlearn much of what I had been taught about conformity and success, allowing me to rediscover and embrace my authentic self. My decision to step into the creative space was fueled by an innate belief that I have a unique message to share with the world—one that can only be expressed through my own distinct lens. For years, I explored this through style and storytelling, but the defining moment came when I realized how vital freedom of expression was to my identity and purpose.

The corporate world, with its rigid structure, often stifled my individuality and creativity, making it difficult to bring my ideas to life in a meaningful way. Transitioning into the creative space felt like reclaiming my voice. It allowed me to live in harmony with my free-spirited nature, where self-expression is not only encouraged but celebrated. This path has given me the freedom to create with intention, connect with others on a deeper level, and share my truth authentically with the world.

That said, this journey is far from easy. There are days when I question myself and wonder if I’m on the right path. But deep down, my soul reassures me that I am exactly where I’m meant to be, pursuing a purpose that aligns with my essence. It’s not just a career—it’s a calling, and every challenge along the way reaffirms my commitment to living and creating with passion and authenticity.

I’m Hilyale Makor, an entrepreneur and creative professional with over 20 years of experience in leadership and project management. My journey bridges the worlds of structure and creativity, combining the strategic discipline of my corporate background with a passion for storytelling, fashion, and authentic self-expression.

While I honed valuable skills in project management, I found the rigid confines of the corporate world often stifled the creative freedom I craved. Stepping into this space allowed me to reimagine how to combine strategy and artistry, blending elegance, innovation, and approachability in every project I undertake.

My work centers on inspiring others through thoughtful curation, whether it’s styling, lifestyle insights, or creating meaningful collaborations. What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
