We were lucky to catch up with Hey SK recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hey , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard.
The Life Coaching industry is growing rapidly. The topic of self-care has also become more mainstream. Many coaches who speak on the topic of self-care teach it surface level. They encourage things like bubble bathes, and getting nails and hair done, reading, and watching TV. Although all those things are nice, it doesn’t help people work on their underlying issue or trauma. Hey SK focuses on supporting our wounded healers with non-traditional transformation techniques to peel back the layers to achieve true transformation. We have a virtual lounge, called “Reclaim and Recharge Lounge”. In the lounge we host monthly game night, paint and sips, and have ROARR sessions. The lounge provides a safe space for people to come have fun, release, recharge, and reclaim their time. We also offer niche base merchandise versus brand merchandise. Our merchandise is designed so that not only the person wearing it can be empowered, but those around them as well without saying a word. Our brand also provides published resources that helps kickstart our wounded healers transformational journey.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers?
We are Stefanie and Kettia Green also known as Hey SK. We are the “super heroes of self – care” or more commonly know as transformational mentors. We help wounded healers activate their inner superhero (their inner child), so they can live a bold, fun, and free life.
When we first started this journey, we were focusing on relationships and couples. We had good reactions, but we realized that many relationships problems stemmed from individual trauma. We also realized that individual trauma came from the lack of self healing and self-care. This occurred also while Kettia was dealing with her mental health healing and Stefanie was supporting her. It was through Kettia’s healing journey that it hit us that individual self-care is what’s lacking to have a healthy and sustaining relationship. We then shifted our focus to self-care, but not just what everyone else was doing in the industry, but really digging deep into the topic. We want our healers to have true transformation to the point where massages and bubble bathes are extra because they have inner peace with or without it.
We have merch that is niche based that sends a message and allows the person wearing it to be encouraged but while encouraging others without having to utter a word. We have a virtual lounge called “Reclaim and Recharge Lounge”. The lounge provides a safe space for our healers to come hang out, vent, laugh, and network with others. Inside the lounge we have monthly game night, paint and sips, and our ROARR sessions. Anyone who comes to lounge leaves in a better space than they came.
We are proud of our merchandise and brand that not only benefits our target audience, but we are empowered as well. We wear our merch and are also just as excited to attend the events that we host. We are ecstatic to support our healers in true transformation and not just surface level healing.
We’d love to hear about you met your business partner.
SK met in mental health field while working in 2013. We stayed in touch virtually throughout the years until we reconnected in person in 2016 and the rest is history.
Our personal growth journey is what spearheaded our brand. We both have a heart to help others, but we know what individual healing did for our marriage and us personally, and we wanted our healers to feel that same feeling. Through our personal healing, Hey SK was birthed.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
The biggest thing that helped us connect with our audience was transparency. We never waited until we were fully healed to share. We shared our wins and struggles throughout the whole process.
Many people saw themselves in us through our journey because we didn’t leave out our struggles and make it seem like it was easy.
We know that people don’t want perfection they want to work with people that are transparent and honest. Hey SK was and is just that. We are transparent and very honest with our audience.
