Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Hervens ” Herv Gotti ” JeanBaptiste. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hervens ” Herv Gotti “, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you talk to us about a project that’s meant a lot to you?
Most meaningful project I’ve worked on has been my community panel titled ” Footwork”. “Footwork” is a panel I created started in 2021 focusing & highlighting creatives who not only have an appreciation for sneakers & the culture, but also people who do the “footwork” which is getting out there, bonding at a deeper level, & creating important relationships to better set themselves for success.
I started this panel while struggling with getting into the footwear/fashion industry. Boston has many of the major footwear brands headquarters out here, however finding spaces that highlighted new faces who aren’t necessarily working in ” footwear” but have the admiration for it was a new spin I felt I’d be able to master. I felt like I knew many people who wear in different fields who’d be able to talk about what sneakers has done for them. I took it upon myself to create my own platform, especially with the relationships I had in the industry, I knew I’d be able to do something distinguished
One of the main focuses of this gathering is the importance of branding, digital marketing & linkedin/networking. A photographer gives each attendees of the event a free headshot to use for their professional use and encourage building personal brand. Percentage of Proceeds from the event have gone to a non-profit organization of my choice that deals with sneakers or self-sufficiency/empowerment.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
My name is Herv & I’m an accomplished and dedicated curator with a decade years of expertise in the realm of high-end fashion merchandising, street-wear, and lifestyle. I was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti and I currently live in Boston, MA. My experience resides in professional image consulting, wardrobe curation and coordination, organizational procedure and rules of services, personal brand development, consumer insights and trend awareness. Further knowledge and expertise lies in public relations, data analysis, marketing, and project management.
My vast experiences have helped shaped my knowledge & have aided me in becoming an asset to the different companies and projects I’ve been able to contribute to. I’ve been able to leverage my fluency in several languages to better and genuinely connect with a wide audience in an effort to distill exactly what it is people wish to see come to fruition in their stylistic journey.
I started a consultancy platform called Successismycologne cause I have a passion for helping people become their best self. Modeling, Revamping clients personal brand , image consultations, personal shopping experiences, & helping clients connect with brands they align with have all been special projects have all been things I’ve been blessed to be part of. My favorite thing about this is seeing ideas come to life & confidence be built!
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is that through all the accolades, relationships built & events coordinated I’ve never had to alter who I am to create the organic relationships I’ve been blessed to have. My experience has been nothing but great energy, fly fits & substance.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
I think its important for creatives to fight for their ideas to be heard & seen regardless of who does or doesn’t believe! Knowing what your play, purpose & potential will always be a driving force behind your end goal(s). I’ve always thought my ideas & the things I aspired to do were million dollar ideas, so in believing so I’ve been able to leverage genuine relationships I have with my advocacy group to bring these ideas to life.
