Hero, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Did you always know you wanted to pursue a creative or artistic career? When did you first know?
When I was in middle school, I used to know how to sing a bit. I remember during lunch period telling girls if y’all would like to hear me sing come check me out. When I sung to them, they liked what they heard and I liked the feeling. From there I knew I would definitely be a performer. But while transitioning to high school and puberty hit, my voice begin to change and get deeper. I didn’t know how to control my vocals anymore, so I said to myself “F**k it” I’ma be rapper from there I begin to evolve.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I realized God gifted me an ability to rap and perform. I was inspired by Tupac’s music, to get the ball in motion. As you know I consider myself to be a rap MC therefore you know what genre I’m running with. What sets me apart from other artists is my writing ability, drive, passion for it, not afraid, willing to step out of my comfort zone to get things done and being able to touch people hearts. I’m proud of my fans for the motivation given to me daily, which keeps me hungry for the highest success I can accomplish!
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
To me it will be the appreciation of my hard work and effort.
Looking back, are there any resources you wish you knew about earlier in your creative journey?
Hell yeah! Real honest and trustworthy management, program directors that really help independent artists, promoters that understand we all trying to eat etc…
