Hi Henry, thanks for joining us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
I was a store manager for a large grocery chain in the southeast. In doing my P and L weekly. In reconciling I found a huge increase in my service fees. I watched it increase weekly for 5 weeks and finally reported all my findings to the Accounting department. In summation I saved the company Millions and was still overlooked for promotion! I made a plan for retirement and then said I wouldn’t work for anyone again! I began to research the merchant service industry and chose to start my own. 6 years later it’s the foundation of my 3 businesses.
Henry, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My 3 disciplines. 1. Behavior(How you act reflects how you’re seen) 2. Build( Always be focused on building upon yourself and your goals.) 3. Brand (You are your BRAND!) how you market yourself is how other businesses will respond to you! For example I market myself as a solutions business! I work diligently to network and provide resources and solutions for all of my business clients! I encompass everything from legal assistance to funding capabilities! I’m most proud of the fact that 3 of my 5 children now through my example want to be entrepreneurs!
Have you ever had to pivot?
My largest pivot was adding Business Consulting to my Merchant Services portfolio! I found myself on a regular basis, promoting my businesses, and helping them understand how to accentuate their growth! And one day, one of my clients suggested that I actually start to do that for a living and charge for it, and that’s what I did! And it has been one of the greatest decisions I’ve ever made in my life because it seamlessly ties into what I’m already doing!
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
So actually, I was not very driven by Social Media when I started my business! I was childish by a mentor in my third year of business to do a post every day for 30 days and see what happened, and I did! I went from 1500 followers to 4000 in 33 days Organically. A lot of it had to do with understanding #’s. The right time and days to post etc. Also, it’s important that you pay attention to the content that catches people eyes as you do post. That was very instrumental in my success!
