We recently connected with Henry Awad and have shared our conversation below.
Henry, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
I’ve worked on a lot of meaningful projects, but a few really stand out. Producing Maga Cordova’s “Error Tras Error,” which reached #1 on Ecuadorian radio, was a powerful moment for me. A big part of my journey has also been helping shape the sound of Silent Giant Entertainment’s catalog by reviving that classic soul and Motown vibe with live instrumentation. I’ve produced over 60 songs for them, and working closely with them has opened many doors, like engineering a record for Brazilian artist Tubarão Baixada featuring Snoop Dogg, and landing a placement on Season 6 of FOX’s Empire. Each project has pushed me creatively and reminded me why I’m so passionate about this craft.

Henry, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Henry Awad, a music producer, songwriter, and creative executive originally from Chile and now based in Los Angeles. I started playing instruments when I was seven. At 16, my dad allowed me to use a room in our house to build my first recording studio, where I recorded local bands, singers, and people from my church. From an early age, I knew I wanted to make it to the big leagues.
When I was 18, just six months after graduating high school, I moved to Los Angeles and enrolled in the Los Angeles Recording School, where I earned my degree in music production. After graduating, I began interning for a music producer named J2, who was looking for someone knowledgeable about Latin music as he expanded into that side of the industry. This gave me the opportunity to collaborate with major writers and producers such as Erika Ender, Ale Alberti, and Stefano Vieni.
While working at J2’s studio, I met Edward “E-dub” Rios, who became my mentor and business partner to this day. Together, we launched a record label, and I also became an A&R for his distribution company, Silent Giant Distribution, where I signed many talented artists from the US and Latin America.
What sets me apart is my versatility—I perform across multiple genres, blending software-based production with live instruments. I write songs in both English and Spanish and have a deep understanding of Latin culture, which allows me to connect authentically with artists and audiences alike.
I provide creative services including songwriting, production, arrangement, and sound design. I help artists and labels craft music that resonates emotionally with their audiences while meeting industry standards for quality and innovation.
In addition to production and songwriting, I support artists from the ground up. My company operates as a “one-stop shop,” guiding artists through the entire process—from crafting and perfecting the song to releasing it across all streaming platforms and managing everything involved in a successful release.
For potential clients, followers, and fans, I want them to know that my brand is about authenticity, quality, and versatility. Whether producing nostalgic soul records or cutting-edge pop tracks, my goal is always to create music that moves people and stands the test of time.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
Honestly, I believe society naturally supports artists who are genuine and share their true selves through their work. The best thing artists can do is just put their art out there and let people experience it. These days, it’s easier than ever to support artists, there’s no need to wait in line at a record store anymore. People can just click, subscribe, or stream from wherever they are. Of course, that comes with its ups and downs, but overall, it’s a really positive change that makes it possible for more people to discover and support creative talents.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
For me, the most rewarding part of being a creative is seeing how something I made can end up becoming a meaningful part of someone else’s life. Every time I hear someone singing a song I produced, or I see a caption online quoting my lyrics, it hits me. It’s amazing to think that an idea that started in my head could resonate so deeply with others. You never really know… you might be writing someone’s next breakup song, their wedding song, or even a song that helps them through the loss of a loved one. Music has a way of enhancing memories and emotions. So, I’d say the most fulfilling part of this journey is getting to create the soundtrack to people’s lives
