We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Henri Pearson a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Henri, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Do you wish you had started sooner?
I recently released my first ever single “Stormy Weather” aged 28, I have been performing since I was 5 but never had an opportunity like this. An Ex-Sony Music producer heard my voice and took me to a studio and we recorded and scripted the track. I do wish I had had this opportunity earlier in life however I have been in the media industry professionally since I was 16 so that has helped elevate me into this pretty quickly and eased the nerves

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
I love entertaining, I love performing, I love the ability to bring communities together from all backgrounds in harmony.
I love being able to sing from the heart and soul and songs that I cover and write do just that.
The job changes daily which keeps me on my feet and enables me to meet people from a diverse range of backgrounds all with there own stories to tell and the love people give having listened to me perform live keeps me going through darker days.
What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?
I feel there needs to be more support and opportunities out there for artists who are looking to launch there music careers and showcase there talent to the world many streaming platforms now offer great opportunities to showcase there music but don’t do enough to promote it and this would really help launch more artists into the world of music and elevate there careers, earning potential and capabilities of reaching more fans and ears!
