We recently connected with Hell•Doubt and have shared our conversation below.
Hell•Doubt, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
Hell•Doubt is a local Tucson, Arizona “pop punk” band that was formed in late 2019. Our band members are dedicated to each other and to our fan base that has consistently grown over time. We all know that it takes hard work and dedication and we are committed to propel Hell•Doubt to the next level.
The band members of Hell•Doubt all work day jobs to provide for their families but we all believe so much in Hell•Doubt’s potential that we are willing to put in the after-hours practices, studio time and developing advertising and promotion ads and merchandise to make our band successful. We have the “never give up” attitude that it will take and for that we are very proud.
It took some time to find the right musicians for Hell•Doubt that posses the talent, attitude, patience and drive to push the band to the next level. Fortunately, too, we have a strong friends and family support system that is also needed in any group much less a rock band. Each band member has a gift that they bring to the group; Jackie Alex writes the lyrics and belts out the songs for the world to hear, James, as the drummer, lays down the beats and keeps us on track. Kevin and Andy bring the songs to life and Sparky’s bass adds the deep soul to band’s sound. Each new song is a collaboration of talent and love for the industry. Hell•Doubt’s goal is to entertain and to touch lives. Although the genre of music is not for everyone, when our music affects even the most unexpected individual, that is when the band is most encouraged to stay the course.

Hell•Doubt, love having you share your insights with us. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.
Jackie Alex: Singer, composer, frontman, founder.
The moment I knew I wanted to pursue music as a profession was when I was about 10 or 11 years old. My dad took me to a Foreigner concert. I was very timid and shy. I was sitting in our assigned seats and wondering why everyone was standing. I was not familiar with the culture and etiquette of a rock show. When the band began to play “Jukebox Hero” and the unforgettable lyrics “THAT ONE GUITAR” resonated throughout the arena, my heart raced and I instantly jumped up out of my chair as well. Hearing the whole place scream and seeing everyone dance made me realize that I wanted to entertain a crowd like that. This was it, this was what I wanted to pursue for the rest of my life. I will never forget that moment with my father and the moment I chose to devote my life to my music and my lyrics.
Gabriel Sparky Guerrero:
Bass guitar, vocals, composer, founder.
I started out on my music career when I was about 11 or 12 years old. My grandmother and my grandfather bought me my first bass guitar. It was around then when I knew I wanted to do something different. Sports and school really weren’t the thing for me. I kept playing for many years with a lot of different musicians, learning a lot of different techniques and skills and honing in my own style and sound. I finally got into a group with a bunch of amazing players. Later on in my adult years it dawned on me that this is the life I was going to live forever. I’ve known since I was young that I was going to be a bass player in a rock band and I have been working toward that goal ever since.
Andy (L.A.) Coranado:
Lead Guitar, composer.
I can’t remember a time when I didn’t love playing music. All of my spare time was spent playing and practicing. The moment when I realized that this could become a profession was when someone told me that we could get paid for playing a gig. I thought to myself “Hell yea” – “Don’t tell anyone …But I would’ve done it for free!” There are many times when people, including my brother, ask me if I get tired of playing the same songs over and over and my response is “Not at all – I just love to play music.” It’s as simple as that. When you do what you love, it’s not a job.
Kevin (K-Loko) Widlak:
Guitar, vocals, composer, founder.
I have been playing music for 20 years with my band “”The Diversion Program” for that adrenalin rush and as an outlet. It was not until I met my good friend, Jackie Alex, who pitched me the idea to play the song “Big Dreams” in my band. I heard the DEMO and thought “NO WAY.” This is something different. We need to do this together as an entity of its own – Hell Doubt! That night I knew that my music would now be a profession. This is something to believe in and that we could do this for the rest of our lives.
James Ringstrom:
Drums, composer, founder.
I knew I wanted to be a professional musician when I was 12. I was looking through a CD booklet from my brothers Pantera album and i saw a picture of them playing on stage in Russia for over a million people. I was hooked after that. Never did I once look back.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
Hell•Doubt appreciates the feeling of connecting with fans who took the time to come out and see us, to stream us, and to listen to what our music has to offer them. Many of the band members grew up feeling like we couldn’t speak our mind, felt unheard, misunderstood and were made to feel “different.” This outlet proves the opposite.
When we hit the stage and captivate the crowd with our music, the fans seem to take exactly what they NEED out of the music we play, no matter what they might be going through emotionally – from mending a broken heart, to getting up again after a bad day, to striving to reach their goals. Getting that feed back is more than we could ask for. Realistically, however, earning enough money playing the gig to pay for gas for the van, pizza and beer for the band and a little pocket money is extremely rewarding as well.
The most rewarding aspect of being artists and working toward being able to travel and tour, allows us to meet people who have shared the same experiences. We are able to relate to those around us and ultimately make this world a bit more fun. Also being able to do this with friends who share the same creative talents and goals, what more could we ask for?

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Our goal is to reach the ears of anyone who needs to hear and believe that they ARE enough. Like us, you CAN do anything you believe in and you are NOT alone. We are just a group of average people who go through the same daily struggles as everyone else. We want to share our story with the world through our art. Our music and storytelling makes us happy. It is what makes us hurt. It is what gets us through our day to day lives. If that can be expressed through our music and can help anyone else, we want them to hear and feel what we do. We have problems and have good and bad days and Hell•Doubt has a song for whatever and however you may be feeling. Hear us and join us on our journey!
