Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Helen Vonderheide. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Alright, Helen thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Do you think your parents have had a meaningful impact on you and your journey?
I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois by my two parents and two sisters. I have only ever known my mother as an inviting presence of unconditional love. She is endless in her giving and a wellspring of compassion and understanding. She always sees the wonderful qualities in humanity despite what the circumstances might suggest. She is an artist, a healer, a creative, a grandmother, and a teacher. Her love heals me and she always radiates warmth and joy.
It’s no surprise my father was attracted to her. She has an infectious smile, and captivating eyes, and loves to laugh. My father is grounded and intelligent. He is continually open, receptive, and supportive of his girls. I lean on him during times of challenge. I feel seen, heard, and understood by him. He inspires me to be me, to create, share my gifts with the world. He is a writer, musician, and an awesome cook. He is the elasticity that holds our family through the ebb and flow of life.
My parents are my foundation and they hold me steady as I swim through life. I learned to love life in all the ways I do and treat every being with kindness including myself because of them.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
By profession, I am an Akashic Records educator but recently I’ve weaved in a Decolonial ontological lens and put it into practice. I shared this in my last piece (http://voyagela.com/interview/exploring-life-business-with-helen-vonderheide-of-helen-vonderheide-inc/). I feel called to intersect this method with my work because of the inequities and disparities, especially among marginalized people. It helped me realize the true nature of our human beingness is nature itself.
Prior to working with the Records, I practiced Buddhism for almost eight years but I was looking for ways to consciously co-create every aspect of my existence. I professionally entered the field of the Akashic Records because they were a resource for healing, clarity, guidance, and suggestions to live a grounded yet expansive life that I knew I could live.
Bringing in a Decolonial lens has unearthed more of who I am at the deepest levels while recognizing that I am an organism within a Living System. “Decoloniality is a way for us to re-learn the knowledge that has been pushed aside, forgotten, buried, or discredited by the forces of modernity, settler-colonialism, and racial capitalism. Decoloniality is a method and paradigm of restoration and reparation that depends on context, historical conditions, and geography. Therefore, as a method, it aspires to restore, elevate, renew, rediscover, acknowledge and validate the multiplicity of lives, live-experiences, culture, and knowledge of indigenous people, people of color and colonized people as well as to decenter hetero/cis-normativity, gender hierarchies, and racial privilege. We understand that producing knowledge and living it is not separate. We seek to learn and make visible the connections between knowledge, social practices, and social action.” – William & Mary, a premier public research university
My practice offers Akashic Record readings, Mentorship sessions, and Personal Pathway 1:1 sessions as well as courses such as Akashic Record Practitioner Certification Classes, Embodying the Source of Your Consciousness a 13-month Akashic Record Teacher Training program, Pathways of the Heart a boundless journey to align the Etheric and Human heart through relating, dating, and partnering a 12-session journey, Pathways of the Heart Mentorship sessions, On-demand Classes One and Two that support someone in creating their unique Personal Pathway to access the Akashic Records and beyond, and I am in the beginning stages of developing curriculum around Prosperity Consciousness!
The most crucial imbalance I tend to in all my work is aligning the etheric/soul expression, human expression, and earth expression. This is especially helpful for deeply feeling and sensitive people. I support them in co-creating balance and harmonizing all aspects of their omnidimesional self.
I recently created a new two-part class called Loving Systems. It’s a direct reflection of weaving my Akashic Record and Decolonial lens in a way that is empowering a person to consciously connect with their Inherent Knowing, the Living Systems of this planet, and the Akasha beyond.
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
At the end of 2020, I departed from practicing former established Akashic Records teachings and created an original new body of work called Personal Pathways. It empowers people to access infinite intelligence by creating a Personal Pathway. My evolution was a reflection of listening to those with whom I shared the work, their challenges, and their difficulties to fit themselves into a one-size-fits-all method and approach. It was appropriate and timely that a new generation of authoring and personalizing the Akashic Records was underway. You are a manifestation of the Akasha and everything on this planet is a reflection of this cosmic field. No one can tell you what it is because it is your experience of it that you are meant to tell. Your authorship begins to unfold from the moment of your first conscious awakening. It can be challenging to discover your way but I created a tool to aid people in the process. The Personal Pathway Blueprint and Instructions are available as a free download to support someone in attuning to the unique channels within. A personal pathway allows a person to bridge their human experience to Akasha and beyond. By personalizing your pathway, you purposefully use your inherent knowing to create a path to connect and communicate with the source of this information. Your pathway becomes a co-creative channel that enhances every intricate aspect of your way through life.
What’s a lesson you had to unlearn and what’s the backstory?
The biggest lesson for me to unlearn is Coloniality. It is predicated on superiority and inferiority. It is a binary that bypasses the contrast and nuances of life and intelligence. When I look out into the Living Systems of our earth all I see is variation, dimension, depth, and new worlds that await discovery. I don’t want to repeat patterns that have deterred me from liminality, it is where I want to live and oscillate in the worlds that hold it.
