We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kozmyck. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Helen below.
Kozmyck, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. So let’s jump to your mission – what’s the backstory behind how you developed the mission that drives your brand?
I’ve always been big on self care and self love. Sometimes we forget about ourselves and I’m here to remind you to pour into your cup first before you can pour into others. My saying is when you look good you feel good and when you feel good you’re contagious but in a good way. I’m all about raising the vibration of the collective for the greater good. I offer more than just skincare products, I also create a safe space to help you heal traumas as well as help with clearing blockages by making custom intentional products and well as educating you on the different crystals to help support you along your healing journey to self love and self acceptance
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I myself have sensitive skin and eczema so most products make it worse. So i decided to make my own butters, soaps, scrubs etc with all natural products and no chemicals. I love to create so I offer custom products as well, you imagine it and I will create it. I make all of your bath and body needs such as bath salts, teas, bombs, soaps and scrubs. I make lip glosses, body butters, and body oil/shimmer. I also make tattoo after care products as well as pet friendly products as well. I’m also looking for new ways to help your skin feel good and keep you moisturized. I also make intentional items as well as wrap different crystals to help you in your journey of self love, and self acceptance.
How did you build your audience on social media?
I started to pop up events last summer and that is where most of my followers come from. it was a slow start for me because I really don’t post on social media unless it’s funny memes and I don’t like to come off as a used car salesman. Its all about consistency and just having content to post. When I’m at my in person events I’m always asked if I’m on social media and they hit the follow button and they also show up at different events that i do just to show support or see my new goodies. I love to dress up as well so I’m either in a tutu that is purple, elf ears, wand and then i love purple and sparkles. Most people remember me because of my purple hair or purple display.
How’d you think through whether to sell directly on your own site or through a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc.
I sell on shopify. For the most part I like all the features and its pretty user friendly. I’ve never created a website so this is still definitely a learning process. The only thing that I will say with Shopify you have to bring people to your site and I get traffic but to get people to purchase has been the hardest thing for me lately but I’m trusting the process. I launched my website and business Jan 1 2022.
