Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to $heek Juice. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi $heek, thanks for joining us today. We’d love to hear about a project that you’ve worked on that’s meant a lot to you.
I worked on a project known as ‘Essential Work’ during the pandemic. I took off from my 9-5 and solely focused on my musical craft. With all the cons of Covid and the pandemic, I used it as an opportunity to get closer to God and closer to what I love, including family and music. With no set time to wake up or go to sleep, I was up at all times of the night writing music. I did a lot of reflecting and soul searching. A lot of people gravitated to that project including myself. I made music my Essential Work.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I got in into the music world by natural love for music. I love creating and building so to create something that can potentially be inspiring to someone brings joy to me. I have my own Islamic fashion brand on premillions.com that promotes peace, love and unity. Just positive terms we use in Islam. I believe a lot of my supporters are want to see me win simply because most of them know me or know what I stand for. I don’t have a fake narrative. I’m pretty simple. I don’t struggle with confidence, so I hope to inspire people to be confident in what they do without needing validation. I’m most proud of the journey, the resiliency to keep going harder everyday that Allah wakes me up. I’m thankful for the wins and losses. The losses mean more to me because it gave me another opportunity to do it different and better.
What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
I believe the most rewarding aspect is when your supporter is singing your song, rocking your merch, or even sending you a inspiring message on a day when you may not be the most motivated. The reward is knowing that someone can fuel you at any given moment.
Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?
NO EXCUSES BY BRIAN TRACY. The title speaks for itself. This is a book I read every year. I’m actually going to read it again this week. This helped me realize that nothing is too hard. We just doubt ourselves too often. If you plan, write it down and work hard, you can execute it all. Thank you Brian Tracy. Definitely a book I would recommend to anyone that wants to bring the greatness out of themselves
