We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Heaven Williams a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Heaven thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Parents play a huge role in our development as youngsters and sometimes that impact follows us into adulthood and into our lives and careers. Looking back, what’s something you think you parents did right?

My mom raised me as a single parent. I would say she did the right thing by letting me have a voice. She would always let me express myself and my feelings. My mom is the best at giving advice and whenever I need her she would and still will always be there for me. Which helps me on my journey so much it gives me the inspiration i need to keep going.

Heaven, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

I am a lifestyle creator. I create content for different brands and I also create content based on what I’m doing for the day or night. I’m always trying new restaurants and going new places. I also like to keep up with the TikTok trends.

I also do have my own candle brand called Heavennlyyy Scents where I do create aromatherapy candles to help uplift the mood or calm and relax you.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

I mainly built my social media on Twitter, Twitter has helped me a lot because I feel like you can express your business in so many words and it’s relatable. For people starting on social media and starting to build I would say use all platforms and just engage with different people.

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?

So , I funded my business when I was in college. I was working my 9-5 and also going to school. I was using my paychecks from my job to fund my business. I remember on my 2nd paycheck I went online and cashed out I had ordered so many candles supplies, and everything I needed for my business I was so excited
