Heaven, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea

My press-on nail business journey began months before I launched my website on April 2, 2024. It was a process that involved long nights and early mornings, and I’m proud to say that I’ve only just begun. My path started during a difficult time when I was struggling with postpartum depression. It was a challenging experience, but it played a vital role in shaping me into the person I am now. I deeply empathize with mothers going through postpartum depression because it’s not easy. Despite the emotional and mental hurdles, we continue to push ourselves to be the best for our children, and that drive became the foundation of my business.

During that time, I needed an outlet to express myself, and creating press-on nails became a therapeutic way to channel my emotions. Not only did it give me a sense of accomplishment and creativity, but it also allowed me to enjoy something I loved without spending hours away from my baby at a salon. I learned how to design and create nails in the comfort of my own home, which gave me a sense of confidence and peace during a time when I felt overwhelmed.

Soon, I realized that creating press-on nails was something I wanted to share with others, so I began meticulously planning out my business. I started saving a portion of my income from my 9-to-5 job to fund my business expenses. Over time, those savings grew, and I was able to invest in turning my dream into a reality. One of the biggest challenges I faced early on was figuring out the sizing for the press-on nails. To this day, it’s still a tricky subject, but I found that using sizing kits is the best way to ensure my clients get the perfect fit.

Another obstacle was learning how to properly ship my products. I had no idea what I was doing at first, but I knew what I wanted to achieve. I was committed to making my vision come to life, and I embraced the learning process. Starting your own business is never easy, but every challenge has been worth it. The key piece of advice I always give to others is: just start. You might not feel ready, but if you’re passionate and committed, you will figure it out as you go.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

I’ve always had a passion for art, but after having my first son, I was looking for a way to express myself again while balancing motherhood. As a first-time mom, spending hours at the salon wasn’t realistic, but I still wanted beautiful nails. I began painting my own press-on nails, wearing them to work, family gatherings, and wherever I went. As I wore them, I realized there was a market for press-on nails, especially for mothers like me who wanted stylish nails without the salon time commitment. That’s when I decided to turn my passion into a business.

At Heaven Sent Press, we offer custom luxury press-on nails along with our homemade luxury cuticle oil. I specialize in sculpting 3D charms and making press-on nails that look like they’re from a salon. Every set is hand-painted with 100% gel polish and crafted using high-quality materials, with great attention to detail to ensure our clients get exactly what they envision. Our press-on nails are reusable for multiple wears, offering both convenience and quality without the need for hours at a salon.

What I’m most proud of is the level of attention to detail I put into creating and packaging each set. I’m also extremely proud of the community I have built on my social media platforms, the love I get from other nail techs around the world is such an incredible feeling! Are there any books, videos or other content that you feel have meaningfully impacted your thinking?

There are many resources that have influenced my entrepreneurial mindset, but one book that stands out to me is The Secret by Rhonda Byrne. It serves as an excellent introduction to the law of attraction and emphasizes the power of positive thinking. The book teaches you to focus on what you want, rather than what you don’t want, which has had a profound impact on the way I approach challenges and opportunities in business and my everyday life. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to shift their mindset and attract success.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

I began building my audience on social media before I even launched any products. The key was sharing my journey consistently. Each time I created something new, I made it a point to take photos and post them, regardless of how many likes or comments I received. I always recommend this approach because it allows your audience to follow your progress, and more importantly, it shows them your passion and work ethic. The behind-the-scenes moments are often just as important as the finished products. The key is consistency—don’t let the number of likes discourage you. Keep sharing your story, because there’s always someone out there appreciating your work, even if they’re not engaging with it directly.

My best advice is simply to start. Whatever dream or idea keeps coming to your mind, take the first step toward making it a reality. When you’re fully committed and determined, you can achieve anything. Don’t wait for the “perfect” moment, just go for it! In addition to posting regularly, be sure to engage with others in your community. Interact with people who share your passion, like their posts, leave genuine comments (not just emoji’s), and share the work you admire. Building a network of supportive and like-minded creators will help you grow your social media presence into a thriving, connected community.
