Heather , appreciate you joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
Success is typically defined as the achievement of a desired result or objective. It is the completion of a goal or objective, frequently accompanied by a contented and gratified feeling.
Success can be measured in many ways, such as financial, career, personal development, social, self-confidence, and relationship success. Success is a journey, and it can be viewed as a combination of short- and long-term accomplishments. It can also be viewed as a measure of progress towards one’s ultimate life goal.
Success is a journey, not a destination. It’s the result of hard work, dedication, motivation, and perseverance. Whether you’re starting a new job, launching a business, or pursuing a personal goal, success requires a clear plan, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and adapt. Here are some tips for success that can help you achieve your goals and reach your full potential.
1. Set Clear and Specific Goals
2. Develop a Plan
3. Stay Focused and Disciplined
4. Continuously Learn and Adapt
5. Believe in Yourself
6. Surround Yourself with Positive People
7. Stay Persistent
8. Take care of your Physical and Mental Well-Being
9. Celebrate your Successes
10. Learn from your Failures
Success is not a one-time achievement, but rather a continuous journey that requires motivation, hard work, dedication, and perseverance. By setting clear goals, developing a plan, staying disciplined and focused, continuously learning and adapting, believing in yourself, surrounding yourself with positive people, taking care of your well-being, staying persistent, celebrating your successes, and learning from your failures, you can achieve your goals and reach your full potential.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I started loving Skincare in High School when I started selling Mary Kay Cosmetics. Seeing before and afters of everyone’s skin was amazing and it peaked my interest to learn more on how to make everyone’s skin even better. I graduated from Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology in Spartanburg South Carolina 9 years ago. At first my goal was to focus on facials and skincare, but that quickly changed when I learned all the different services that there is in the Esthetics world. So now I offer a variety of facials, body waxing, Brow and Lash services, teeth whitening and body wraps. In 2022 I launched my very own Skincare line called “Tranquility Skin”.
I am different from other Estheticians in my area because of the variety of services that I do and the fact that I have my own personal skincare line. I have a lot of accomplishments during my 9 year career, but I am most proud of having my own skincare line and how I strive at growing my business daily.
I want to always strive in what I do and to be able to show other ladies what you can do in Esthetics, because it’s not just one or two things, the list goes on and on. I love what I do, I have a passion for it and making my clients feel and look their best!
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I have built my business mainly on Social Media. At first, I was not the greatest, but I quickly learned my audience and what I needed to say or what pictures to post. It is something that I try my best to post several times a day. Just from Social Media alone my business has grown more than 70%. My advice for others if you are wanting to grow your business using Social Media is that you need to post post post and reach out to me and follow up with them every month.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
My career in Esthetics has not always been the greatest. In the beginning I failed very quickly at getting clients. I never wanted to market myself, I just wanted everyone to know where to come and schedule an appointment. I quickly learned that you have got to market and without marketing or posting on Social Media you will not get far in what I do. I went from having 25 clients to over 300 clients in a 3 year span. Always believe in yourself, get in there and do the work and you will go very far in everything you do.
