We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Heather Savage a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Heather thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s the backstory behind how you came up with the idea for your business?
When Covid hit the world many people were affected by jobs, shutting down including myself. I had downloaded TikTok and posted a few videos prior to Covid. Being an extreme extrovert, I started making more videos and doing live feeds to connect with people. Several videos went viral. My following kept growing and it’s turned into the following today if 5.5 million followers on Tik Tok alone.
The more people that viewed my videos and told me to make more as well as of people, continually coming into my lives, saying that they watch for my contact daily, kept me pushing to make more content.
I absolutely love what I do and wouldn’t change it for the world.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am a social media influencer. I create content and stream live on various platforms, including Tik tok , Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
I started in this industry when the world was shut down by Covid.
I currently make funny contacts on my social media channels. I live stream daily to connect with followers and have fun as well as serious conversations. I also have my own podcast where I record several episodes a week.
The thing I’m most proud of is creating an all welcoming non judgmental safe space known to most as the savage family.
The Savage Family is one of a kind. We all get a chance to connect during the live feed, but additionally, in DM’s and comment on videos. I genuinely miss them when there is a day I do not stream.
I am more than honored that people come to my page for joy and inspiration.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building an audience on social media is not for the faint of heart. You have to be consistent and most importantly be yourself as far as starting your channel or your social media presence understand that it will be a bit of trial and error. You need to learn what your audience wants and what resonates.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I think, continuing to be myself, and all welcoming has allowed me to stay strong in the social media world.
