Heather, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.

In full transparency, I was one to rarely take risks. I would lean more to playing it safe because that resulted in consistency. Then one day, I was challenged, by a mentor, to start taking risks because they would ultimately lead me to my destiny! I haven’t looked back since…

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

I am a singer/songwriter, currently based in Los Angeles. I’ve been fortunate to have performed on many great stages, including being a regular performer at Universal’s City Walk. I’ve also performed with Broadway’s own, Kristin Chenoweth, at the Hollywood Bowl, and was recently showcased during South X Southwest!

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, I’ve trained at Washington National Opera and New York University. Moving to Los Angeles I joined the supergroup 23:00 and recently branched off to pursue solo endeavors.

I’m most known for my innovative and original Holiday music, “Trap Xmas,” which is currently streaming on all platforms, along with more originals from my catalog! Be on the lookout for more this holiday season…

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

THE PANDEMIC! We all had to pivot and reroute our lives.

For me, I was headed into my prime artistically, building my fanbase (nationally) and performing all over. And within minutes that all came to a halt. I had to find new ways to “safely” engage with others and still promote my brand. I had to really ramp up my virtual presence and use social media to my advantage!! I had to rework everything and essentially start from scratch.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

The connection I build with others, through my music, will always be most rewarding! That’s something unique and indescribable. My lyrics are there to bond and move my listeners!
