We recently connected with Heather Hankins and have shared our conversation below.
Heather , appreciate you joining us today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
My husband has always been in construction work( mainly painting). He always has out in 110% and been promised promotion and raises, He never was granted the things he was promised. We decided that it was time he was given his due and if others were not going to stay true to their word and reward him for his top notch work and dedication that we were going to get it for ourselves.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
We grew tired of the poor quality of work that was being put out . We provide quality work at affordable prices. Our clients never have to worry about us, they never have to worry if we are doing the work we said we would do. We take away the burden of what will happen next because our communication is beyond what anyone could ever expect. our customers know from the get go that we have their backs and their best interests up front and center. The most proud thing I can relay is, that we create friendships with our customers. They become out family.
Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
When the pandemic cam about, we were just starting to make traction in our industry. It was by far the best year we had had yet. When everything went on lock down we had to start only advertising for areas that were deemed emergency( I.E. floods etc). That’s when we discovered the insurance world and we took hold and didn’t let go.
Can you open up about how you funded your business?
My husband was raised by James Wood, the owner of James Wood Auto in Decatur and Denton Texas. We had always came to him for guidance and fellowship. Him and His wife Shirley were always our best supporters and number one fans. When we came to them with the idea and passion to start our own business, they never hesitated to offer their support. They never had to offer us any financial assistance as we opened a account with Sherwin Williams and paid out our first few jobs. They did however stand behind us when we had questions and gave us access to their lawyer for help with contracts and protection.
