Heather, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?

I knew from a very young age(around elementary school) that I was always a creative at heart. I was always in art classes, dance classes, gymnastics, and sports such as soccer, cross country, track, and colorguard growing up and I enjoyed every moment of them! I knew that I would always be on some sort of creative path, and always chose creative classes and sports that reflected my passion for creativity.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

My name is Heather Gilbreath, and I am the founder and creative director of Sparkle N Flow Entertainment, a South Florida–based performance company specializing in Fire & LED Entertainment, Aerial performance, Stilt Walking, Multi-Hooping, and Immersive Character Work. I discovered flow arts through a group of friends that I had met through attending nightclub events and what began as a personal practice evolved into a multi-disciplinary career built on passion and storytelling.

Today, I create high-impact visual experiences for festivals, corporate events, private parties, and immersive productions. My offerings range from Fire Shows and LED Multi-prop sets to Aerial (Lyra, Lollipop, Pole), Stilt Characters, and Custom Themed Acts, along with workshops and creative direction. My work helps clients elevate their events by bringing atmosphere, narrative, and unforgettable visual magic to their spaces.

What sets me apart is my versatility and the intention behind everything I create. I don’t just perform — I craft moments of wonder. My style blends elegance, fantasy, and emotional resonance, inviting audiences into worlds that feel enchanted and alive. I’m proud to have built my brand from the ground up and to have performed at events and festivals like Burning Man, Hulaween, Flow Fest, PlayThink, Zen Flow, and many more to come!

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

Yes! My creative journey is driven by a mission to create moments of magic, connection, and transformation. Flow arts helped me heal and express myself during challenging times in my young adulthood and now I use my performances to inspire that same sense of wonder in others. My goal is to craft experiences that uplift people, spark imagination, and make them feel something. Whether through Fire, Aerial, LED, or Character Work. My mission is to bring more beauty, authenticity, and joy into the world through movement and storytelling.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

The most rewarding part of being an artist is seeing how my work makes people feel. I love creating moments that spark wonder, connection, and escape from the ordinary. When someone tells me they felt inspired or really enjoyed my performance when I did x,y,z, or in general, it reminds me why I do what I do. For me, it’s all about the shared energy; those magical moments where the audience and I are fully present together and enjoying the moment.
