We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Heather Elizabeth Neary a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Heather Elizabeth, thanks for joining us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?

As long as I can remember, I have felt a deep calling to HEALING and PEACE building. Even as a young girl, I knew I was here to contribute to making the world a more LOVING, COMPASSIONATE, and JUST place. Because of this inner knowing and a deep passion for social justice, I became a social worker. In addition to this calling to assist in the betterment of the world, I held a deep curiosity and pull to Spirituality, especially mystical practices. I continued to pursue my own spiritual callings and felt more and more called to having that be a core part of the work I did.

Flash forward to 2011, I had been a clinical psychotherapist for many years, yet didn’t feel that I was living authentically. Because of the western model of mental and e-motional health, any spiritual practices were felt to be taboo and off limits, especially energy medicine, which at that point I had been attuned to all three levels of Reiki energy medicine and felt very called to offer it as a healing modality…

In 2011, I attended Nine Gates Mystery School, which is an immersive, highly transformative experience involving experiential learning of cross-cultural mystical traditions interwoven with the chakra system. After I completed Nine Gates, I knew that it was ‘time’ to take the leap of faith and ‘come out’ as a Spiritual Healer, thus I built a bridge from Western Clinical Psychotherapy to offering experiences of intuitive guidance and Shamanic Energy Medicine. That was almost 13 years ago and I have EVOLved myself and therefore my offerings, yet the core remains: holding sacred space with and for people to experience their capacity to HEAL themselves through connecting with the WISDOM of the Soul. It has been and continues to be a GRAND ADVENTURE and I absolutely wouldn’t change a bit of it!

Heather Elizabeth, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I feel like I covered some of this in the previous question…

I AM a life-long explorer of the greater purpose and meaning of existence. Since I was a young girl, I have been a champion for unity consciousness, which IS the next evolutionary step for humanity… I have a background as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have worked in a variety of settings including hospice, long-term care facilities for aging adults and adults with special needs, the admissions department of a psychiatric hospital, and as a therapist in a psychiatric office.

In 2006, a challenging life transition catapulted me into my own evolutionary leap in consciousness. I have come to recognize this as an experience of a ‘dark night of the Soul’ in which I was faced with the choice to succumb to toxic intergenerational patterns or EMBRACE the COURAGE to ‘change the things I could’ and HEAL…

I chose the harder road of deep inner HEALING (which continues on to this day) and haven’t looked back since! Through my AWAKENING journey, I have been initiated in to the ancient healing arts of shamanism, Reiki energy medicine, and the life-changing experience of attending Nine Gates Mystery School. A phenomenal yearning to reunite with my Maya spiritual lineage occurred in early 2012, creating a profound pathway to align with the transformational ‘map of synchronicity’ called the 13 Moon Dreamspell, whose Founder, Jose’ Arguelles, was the organizer of the first worldwide meditation for peace known as the Harmonic Convergence of 1987. As the urgent need for humanity to EMBODY our SPIRITUAL nature has expanded over the years, I heeded the call to unite my background as a Social Worker with the spiritual lineages I hold to be of service as a guide and ally for fellow Seekers’ awakening journeys.

A catalyst for my own HEALING journey has been remembering and claiming my own unique expression of the Divine Feminine. The RISE of the FEMININE has become a core weaving throughout my HEALING work and the mission of SHINE. The new paradigm emerging for humanity IS deeply Feminine, beckoning US to listen to our intuition, align with our e-motional intelligence, flow with nature’s rhythms and patterns, choose cooperation over competition, and EMBODY a reverent way of living with ONE another and our Mother Earth.

As of November 2023, I AM CELEBRATING twelve years since I took the leap of faith to CREATE a holistic healing business which has EVOLved into SHINE. My cup runneth over with the BLESSINGS of getting to share in countless people’s HEALING journeys through one-on-one and group TRANSFORMATIONAL experiences. I can say with full confidence that humanity IS HEALING on the deepest of levels. May WE TRUST THE JOURNEY and SHINE TOGETHER!

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

I feel that my sense of integrity, essentially ‘walking my talk’ and doing what I say I will do is a core influence in my reputation in the market of Healers in the Austin area and throughout the world.

Many people reflect that they experience me as a non-judgmental, authentic, compassionate person. People feel safe to be themselves with me… to be vulnerable and open to their own transformative process.

I’ve also been told that I’m ‘the real deal’ when it comes to intuitive guidance, insight, and creating transformative experiences for individual and groups.

Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
