We were lucky to catch up with HAZMVT recently and have shared our conversation below.
HAZMVT, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?
Taking risks is one of the most important aspects in a life. There is a difference between taking calculated risks and dabbling in risky business. A personal risk I’ve taken was to recognize goals in my life that were, other’s desires for the outcome of my life. Walking away from college, relationships, and career opportunities that the world would call stable, to pursue a life of creating audio and visual arts, would be insane to most. Don’t allow risk that will destroy everything you’ve built, protect yourself.
HAZMVT, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
The mission we have with HAZMVT and 45 BANDZ is to help listeners and customers bring their vision to life. On the consumer end I try to create music that brings an emotional reaction when the listener plays the song. Music you can cry to, dance to, sing to, be angry to, and share with a loved one. On the customer end we bring the tools and knowledge it takes to create industry level products, while working closely with the artist to bring ideas to full potential. Finding a person for every role, recording engineer, mixing & mastering engineer, videographer, photographer, graphic designers, DJs…can get exhausting and expensive. At 45 BANDZ everything you need is here at your One Stop Content Shop. We are most proud of our consistency to elevating artists and our ability to bring that final product feeling to a customer, seeing their eyes light up while enjoying every step of the process. The main thing I’d like people to take away… there is no vision too out of reach.
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative?
I believe many creatives are misunderstood and overlooked. To create let’s say a song, a book, a video, a TikTok Reel, takes hours of planning and sometimes weeks of gathering thoughts and then forming them into a coherent message. The hours it takes to tweak a song until you get that feeling that it’s ready for the world. Then you release the product and those closest to you don’t realize you’ve poured your heart and soul into this product, and in return you get a lifeless uninterested response. You need a resilient mindset to deal with frequent situations like this. Stay Strong and Keep Creating.
Have you ever had to pivot?
I’ve had major pivots in my life. My father took his own life in 2017 when I was 19. A week later my apartment burned down and fell on my car. I was fatherless, homeless, living out of my friends car with a pitbull. I lived in an RV for 9 months with no electricity or plumbing and was a complete mess for a couple years after. Fast forward to today I am still recovering in multiple areas of life but have a stronger mindset for finding my way through this event in my life. The more I heal, the more am able to talk about it with others. I feel I can relate to others with similar situations to help them find clarity through some of the worst times in life.
