We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Hazel Forrester a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hazel, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s talk legacy – what sort of legacy do you hope to build?
I think my legacy will be that you can do anything you’re put your mind to. I think people say that I was a brave, strong willed inspirational person. I think that they will say that I was very cool oriented and I knew what I want and I just went asked for no matter what the obstacles were. I always stayed focused, and I always achieved all my goals.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
So I am most known as Hazel GRN. I’ve run an elite concierge practice on the other side. Our services include body, contouring Botox, dealers, chemical peels skin, rejuvenation vaginal rejuvenation I created a signature facelift for the younger generation, called the walking filter glow up. It has been my claim to fame a lot of models and influences sort me out specifically for this look. The thing that I’m most proud of is when I’m able to show a girl that looks like me that you can do anything you want to remember starting in this industry and it was very vanilla. Meaning everyone had blonde hair and blue eyes and people just I don’t even think the industry took me seriously Because they thought I had not fighting chance to even be successful in this industry. Fast forward a couple years forward and people started to take me seriously things that I did started to become trendy. I became the trendsetter in this business and the most sorted out and watched injector in this industry, which is quite shocking to me. It’s the position compared to when I started, I’m very grateful that I can inspire girls that look like me to drink, bigger and work harder and anything is possible.

We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
I think the lesson that I had to unlearn was that everyone was my friend, and everyone was happy for me. And that’s actually quite the opposite. When I became extremely successful in my business began to grow. I started losing friends by the boatload I think I lost so many friends, and it wouldn’t be anything that I would do would be left puzzled like what’s going on because I was always down to earth I was always humble I just you know like others I just was very focused and I worked very hard and I was very dedicated to my craft, so I prioritize my business over everything and then you know my friends would get into these little Silly fights and next thing you know I’ll be blocked or no one you know wouldn’t pick up the phones and I’m like OK and I had to learn that jealousy and envy is something very real, and I had to learn that it comes not from a stranger, but usually from the person closest to you I had a best friend of mine that was a sales rep, and when my in the middle of Covid, when my business was booming, and I had staff I found out that she poached my staff to have them work at other facilities that weren’t stable with their staff and I just thought that was the most brutal thing you can do to anybody much less someone you once called the best friend so. Jealousy is very real it’s very ugly. The person affected by it is usually left just bewildered and just flabbergasted and it’s sad and it’s some thing that everyone that’s successful unfortunately has to deal with at some point in their life

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
So during Covid was very very challenging. It’s I mean I remember getting phone calls at 7 o’clock and some or 10 o’clock and someone says I’m not coming in because you know people are getting paid more money to stay home than they were to come to work, so it was a challenge for business owners like myself, and at one point I think you know multiplications I work by myself, I had my mom or friends sit in the front and answer phones and take messages and I would be in the back with the patients and I did this for very long time because it was very hard to maintain staff and it was very it’s just it was just a very trying time And you know looking back at it you know I could’ve broke and I could’ve said you know what forget this I’m not gonna I’m not gonna continue or I could’ve said you know I’m just gonna hire anyone that comes in the office and just you know put up with whatever nonsense they were willing to give and just because I needed staff and I was like you know what I’m not gonna do that I rather be the only person here than have my clients. Have you know substandard treatment because that’s very important to me so I if someone came in and they weren’t the right fit even if I had no staff I would still terminate them because I felt that my clients always deserve the best and if that meant I had to work back front center you know do every part of my job then that’s what it meant until I found the right person but that was a very difficult time for me. I mean I would wake up at 7 o’clock every day and you know just coming in the office prep things like just work. It was insane insane but I think that made me stronger business person and I just Think it just you know I think that’s the worst that could possibly happen and I survive that I’m very proud of myself for doing so
