We were lucky to catch up with Hasaan White Aka Freezetoocold recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hasaan, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
I recently took leave from my job to solely focus on my music. I did this because I want to put every inch of energy into my craft and I’m finally starting to believe I can really make it in this industry.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I am from Los Angeles CA born September 29 1997
I’ve been doing music seriously since I was 13 years old
I moved around a lot in Southern California and I felt I didn’t have a voice so it drove me to writing music to express my feelings and be vulnerable
My most recent show I sold out in Sherman oaks was my most proud moment so far having everyone singing my music was everything.

Have you ever had to pivot?
I was homeless a few times just tryna make it on my own. Which caused me to have to take a pause on my career. But it never stopped my love for it or need for it I always find my way back into the booth.

How can we best help foster a strong, supportive environment for artists and creatives?
I believe the elites in the music game can do more to help up and coming artist that actually have talent. I don’t like some of today’s music because there’s no effort or love in it, but they’re getting deals and opportunities that real aspiring artist spend all of their money on.
