Harry, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Alright, so you had your idea and then what happened? Can you walk us through the story of how you went from just an idea to executing on the idea
In 2013, I made the difficult decision to leave what was then my most stable job, despite its consistent hours and good pay. The company’s management changes signaled impending layoffs, prompting me to depart before they could let me go. Though it wasn’t the wisest choice, I found myself unemployed with a family to support, uncertain of my next move.
During my job search, I stumbled upon a Facebook post offering an opportunity to work for oneself, which led me into the world of network marketing. Despite my initial unfamiliarity with the concept, I immersed myself in learning about sales, marketing, and personal development. Over the next few years, I became proficient in network marketing, even achieving success as an Independent Business Owner while simultaneously working as a store manager.
Despite the financial stability, I felt a longing for something more fulfilling. This led me to ponder how I could utilize my skills and passions to create something meaningful. Initially considering a nonprofit venture, I encountered obstacles due to resource limitations and the inability to generate profits. Determined to pursue my dream, I shifted focus to building a business model centered around monetizing my expertise.
Through introspection and careful planning, I identified my strengths in website design and content creation, skills I had cultivated through various endeavors and side hustles. Armed with a clear vision and a desire to empower others, I established Defiant Dreamer, leveraging my knowledge and experience to help individuals turn their dreams into reality.
As my brand evolved, I launched a podcast and clothing line to complement my vision, fostering a community around the ethos of pursuing one’s dreams. Along the way, I encountered aspiring entrepreneurs seeking guidance, prompting me to offer my expertise in setting up their businesses.
The realization that my knowledge was valuable and sought-after prompted me to officially establish my LLC in February 2023. Despite facing challenges such as job loss and uncertainty, I remained steadfast in my commitment to Defiant Dreamer, investing time and resources into its growth.
Today, Defiant Dreamer stands as a testament to resilience and determination, having been featured in multiple publications and serving numerous businesses in the metroplex. With each project, I am reminded that dreams, when combined with passion and execution, have the power to transform lives. And for me, building Defiant Dreamer has been the best decision I’ve ever made.

While there may be instances where utilizing other platforms is advantageous, you can still integrate links on your website to direct customers accordingly. This ensures flexibility while retaining control over your sales channels.
