We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Harp Gill. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Harp below.
Harp, appreciate you joining us today. Risking taking is a huge part of most people’s story but too often society overlooks those risks and only focuses on where you are today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – it could be a big risk or a small one – but walk us through the backstory.
Taking the risk to go all in!
I started by doing Gill and co. as a hobby while I still kept my fulltime job at the bank. I was employed at the bank for nine years.
In 2020 I realized that my passion for suit making and building a brand grew, I decided to go all in and quit my job. I started seeing the bigger picture of what my passion and goal was for Gill and co.
I finally realized that the reason why the business was not growing was because I had 40+ hours that I was dedicating to some other business rather than my own business.
Once I quit my job, I was doing Gill and co. fulltime and many people did not know that I was selling suits from my car for the first few years this means that consultations, fittings and deliveries were all done mobile.
All those hours that I put in my business made me focus on the bigger goal which was to have a showroom one day in Scottsdale. Every day that I put my 100% in for my suit business, made our goal of having a showroom one day closer.
After four years of hard work and dedication we were able to open our showroom in North-Scottsdale and that would never happen if I haven’t quit my 9-year bank job to go all in and take the risk!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Gill and co. was founded by Harp and Jaz Gill.
Harp Gill, worked at one of the largest banks in America for 9 years.
While working at the bank, his passion was to one day be an entrepreneur. After trying many businesses and not having success, Gill and co. was a business that started from a purpose and passion.
The passion began in 2016 when Harp was looking to buy a suit for a special event and came to realize that all the options were off-the-rack and did not fit good and the fabric quality was not worth the price the stores were charging. Most of the stores were making standard sized suits and doing many alterations just to make it fit pretty good.
After doing some more research at home to find better quality suits that are not off-the-rack, he realized that there were not many businesses that were providing a custom shopping experience.
That’s when the idea of Gill and co began.
Fast forward to now:
Gill and co. is an Arizona based company offering bespoke custom suiting services to the modern day men and women.
We take great pride in our business and our one-of-a-kind suit making process.
During the suit consultation our consultant will take your body measurements, the client will be able to pick from luxury fabrics from Italy, England and Australia.
At Gill and co. we provide a luxury service to our clients who appreciate craftsmanship, unique fabrics, attention to fit and details.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
As a luxury brand it’s really important to us to stand out and that really helped us build our reputation. One of the ways we are doing this is by providing quality garments and packaging.
You can really see this in the custom hangers/custom suit bags/custom shoes and all the additional custom products that we offer.
That is also the reason why the suit makings process or the process of making a pair of bespoke shoes takes longer because it’s a true made-to-measure experience.
Our suit makings process takes 6-8 weeks, and our bespoke shoes can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks depending on the design.
What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
One of our biggest ways to get new clients is word-of-mouth. We also attend a lot of networking events, we signed up for some bridal events as vendors and we try to post a lot of our work on our social media channels.
