We were lucky to catch up with Hannah Wentz recently and have shared our conversation below.

Hannah, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think it takes to be successful?

Everyone says that the best job in the world is one where you get to work for yourself. In part, this is true. People think that if they start their own businesses that they won’t have to work 40 hour work weeks anymore, and they are right. You need to put in far more than 40 hours to build a business from the ground up. This requires trail and error, failure, ups, downs, doubts, and can overall question your abilities. There is a saying in Silicone Valley that you aren’t taken seriously until you have at least one failed start-up. What sets people aside is not how often the fall down but how many times they decide to get back up. Perseverance is a dying trait in our era of instant gratifications. Weddings are stressful endeavors, arguably one of the most high risk events you can work. You have one shot, and your couple’s biggest day of their life is on the line. Not only do I learn something new with each couple I work with, but they give me the honor of trusting me with the day the celebrate their union with a person they want to spend the rest of their life with. That’s success to me.

Enchanted Events services couples in the Chicago land area offering expertise in day of coordination and planning. After being in the events business and working with hundreds of weddings, I have had the opportunity to work with beautiful couples and make their wedding visions a reality.

As a former bride, I combine professional and personal experiences when it comes to weddings coordination. I love seeing the new innovations in the industry and helping my couples bring peace of mind for their big day.

The big thing that sets Enchanted Events apart is how customizable services are. No couple is the same with their vision and need so we aim to provide services that make sense for each wedding day. This is your big day, my job is to make it happen!

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

Now that we are in our third year my favorite thing is seeing how new clients come from the referrals of past couples. This is such a compliment to our services and expertise; and when lucky I get to run into my previous couples at their friends weddings!

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?

COVID was wild for the wedding industry, as it rocked the foundation for businesses and organizations everywhere. This caused great empathy and discretion for deposits, reschedules, and creating brand new contracts and documentation to accommodate. Bottom line, the industry came together in efforts to make it work for our couples, which is all that matters.
