We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Hannah Presdee. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Hannah below.
Hannah, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard.
100%! When I started HP Creative Studio, my goal was to strip away all the corporate jargon and fluff that makes branding feel way more complicated than it needs to be. I’ve always believed that design should be fun, collaborative, and easy to navigate, so I keep things clear, approachable and enjoyable for my clients, steering completely away from the corporate world. Instead of overwhelming clients or businesses with long-winded documents and technical jargon, I make the process streamlined and natural. It’s about working together to bring a brand to life in a way that feels exciting and personal, rather than rigid, confusing, or stressful. Branding and design should feel like an experience, not a hassle!

Hannah, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Hey! I’m Hannah, a graphic and branding designer specialising in branding, illustration, packaging, and web design. My journey started back in 2010 when I studied Graphic Media Design, focusing on illustration alongside learning film and some motion graphics mixed in. I spent time in the ‘corporate’ world in London, working in digital design for a fashion brand before transitioning into a printing, packaging and artworking role. That’s where I discovered the true power of branding, print & colours coming to life.
In 2020, I launched HP Creative Studio (formerly Design by Hannah!) and never looked back. I took my skills across digital, print, and illustration and built a business that helps small to mid-size businesses rebrand. I wanted to give businesses something a little more exciting than the bog-standard graphics I spent hours artworking at my print job, so that’s exactly what I set out to do! 🎨✨
What I believe sets me apart in this industry is my ability to seamlessly blend illustration, print, and branding. Whether it’s hand-drawing glasses for a TikTok brand deal, creating custom packaging and portraits for YouTube and TV personalities, designing hand-rendered logos for clothing brands, or crafting unique websites for hair salons – I love pushing creative boundaries and bringing visions to life in ways clients imagined but never knew how to achieve. Nothing goes untouched!
At the heart of it all, I help businesses stand out, connect with their audience, and feel confident in their brand. Seeing a client excited when they see their branding come together is what makes me proudest. More than anything, I want my clients to know that working with me is a collaborative, exciting, and stress-free experience.

Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
Yes! For me, it was always about doing something I loved. I’ve never thrived or felt comfortable in corporate settings, so I was determined to make this work. I also saw firsthand how the creative industry often favors those from wealthy or middle-class backgrounds, especially with so many unpaid creative internships in London. Coming from a lower-income background, navigating that world was really tough, but it only made me more determined. I gave it everything I had to build a career doing what I love, and now, I want to create space for others to do the same.

Let’s talk about resilience next – do you have a story you can share with us?
When I lost my job during lockdown in 2020 and had to move back home with my parents, it was a lot to process. But I used that time to rebuild myself, both mentally and professionally, by creating my own opportunity to thrive and do what I love. I’m incredibly grateful for that time, the space to grow, and the support of my parents, who gave me a roof over my head while I figured it all out. I could of given up and not believed in myself, but I didn’t let this stop me. I’ve always been determined to make this work and I want others to know that no matter where you are in life, whether it takes 5, 10, or even 20 years down the line, keep going. Keep doing what you love, and don’t let setbacks define you.
