We were lucky to catch up with Hannah Park Lusterman recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hannah, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. One deeply underappreciated facet of being an entrepreneur or creative is the kind of crazy stuff that happens from time to time. It could be anything from a disgruntled client attacking an employee or waking up to find out a celebrity gave you a shoutout on TikTok – the sudden, unexpected hits (both positive and negative) make the profession both exhilarating and exhausting. Can you share one of your craziest stories?
“The Seventh Wife or My First Million?”
I’ll never forget the day everything changed. I was working as a caregiver, an often unrecognized, underappreciated role, yet one that requires deep empathy and heart. I had been caring for an elderly gentleman for quite some time, building trust, creating comfort, and showing up wholeheartedly the way I always do. But nothing prepared me for what he said one afternoon, with a calm voice and a gentle smile.
“I want to leave you everything. You’ve been the best caregiver I’ve ever had. I’m naming you the sole beneficiary of my estate.”
A million dollars.
Just like that.
I remember the way my heart surged with a cocktail of shock, disbelief, and, dare I say, hope. For a brief, suspended moment, I actually imagined what life could be like. I saw dreams I had buried start to stir. Maybe I could finally breathe, finally build something of my own, finally feel… seen.
No one had ever given me something so significant. I remember thinking, Is this what it feels like to be valued?
But then, as with all unexpected fairytales, the truth edged its way in.
It turns out he wasn’t just moved by my kindness, he was also hoping to make me his seventh wife.
Yes, you read that right. Seventh.
In that moment, standing in the uncomfortable shimmer between flattery and a lifetime commitment I never signed up for, I had to make a choice. I could walk into a life that guaranteed wealth but compromised everything I knew about myself. Or, I could take the long road, the one without shortcuts, without windfalls, but with dignity, clarity, and ownership.
I chose the second path. The road of my own terms.
That experience did something powerful. It sparked something in me, something I didn’t even know was there. A fierce desire to understand money, to control it, to master it. Because I realized, if I had to rely on being someone’s wife, or someone’s beneficiary, to have financial security, then I was never really free. And what shocked me even more was realizing how little I actually knew about money, savings, investing, or wealth-building. Not because I didn’t care, but because it was never taught. Not at home. Not in school. Nowhere.
That void is the problem. No one ever teaches us how money really works, until we’re forced to see how not knowing can cost us everything.
So, I decided to learn. I became financially educated. I got licensed. I studied the system I was once locked out of. And now? I’m in the business of unlocking it for others.
Today, I’m a financial educator, empowering individuals, especially those who have felt overlooked, to reclaim control over their financial destinies. I don’t just teach budgeting or investing; I teach transformation. Because now I know what it feels like to almost have it all… and to realize the true wealth is not in what someone gives you, but in what you build for yourself.
Sure, I wasn’t his seventh wife. But I made a commitment to became the first millionaire in my family, not by inheritance, but by empowerment.
And that’s a story I wouldn’t trade for anything.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Hi! I’m Hannah Park Lusterman, licensed financial educator, entertaining and empowerment speaker, bestselling author, … and a firm believer that we’re not here to settle, we’re here to thrive.
My work? It’s all about helping people claim their power in two of life’s biggest areas: health and wealth. I like to educate in an entertaining way, because let’s be honest, no one needs another boring lecture about health or their finances. I’m here to inspire, inform, and shake things up (in the best way).
My roots run deep in both wellness and service, I was born in Israel and raised in a health-conscious family, where I was taught that our bodies were meant to selfheal when given the right conditions. So advocating for physical and mental health comes naturally to me. It’s in my DNA.
My professional journey actually began in caregiving, working closely with seniors and individuals with special needs. I gave everything I had to support others during incredibly vulnerable moments. And then life threw me a curveball: one of my patients named me the sole beneficiary of his million-dollar estate. I was surprised but thrilled. He told me I was the best caregiver he ever had. That gift came with conditions, and the realization, that it was time to wake up to my own potential.
Rather than step into the life someone else offered me, I decided to build my own. That was my turning point. I dove headfirst into financial education, got licensed, and started channeling everything I’d learned, about money, healing, purpose, into a new mission: empowering others to live fully aligned, financially free, and vibrantly well.
Today, I help people rewire their money stories and reconnect with their self-worth. Whether it’s through private coaching, group programs, workshops, or speaking on a big stage, I guide people from just “getting by” to leading an Extra-Ordinary life.
What makes this different? I’m not just coaching people on how to save more or spend smart. I’m waking people up to the fact that they can have it all, abundant health, strong wealth, fulfillment, joy, peace. You don’t have to trade one for the other. The life you’ve dreamed about is not reserved for other people. It’s yours for the making.
I mix strategy with soul. Numbers with nurturing. I believe real wealth is about more than money, it’s about energy, alignment, and waking up excited to live your life.
The part I’m most proud of? Watching people come back to themselves. When someone tells me they’re finally seeing new possibilities for their life, their family, their legacy, that’s when I know we’ve hit something real.
I tell my audience; True wealth begins with self-worth. And it gets even better from there. You are more powerful than you’ve been led to believe. You’re not behind. You’re not broken. And no, it’s not too late.
Let’s change the story together.
Here’s to your health, your wealth, and everything you were meant to be.
With purpose and lots of love,
Hannah 🤍

If your body could talk, what would your organs ask for?
I was born and raised in a health-conscious home which practiced “the 8 laws of Health” and Natural healing also known as Optimal Health.. which is defined as Proper Nutrition, Sleep, Exercise, Fresh Air, Pure Water, Rest, Sunshine and Temperance. If it sounds like a lot, it was for me too.
The belief was that what we put in our mind and bodies matters and will self heal when given the right conditions. I dutifully ate the colored vegetables my parents said my Organs special ordered.
When I left home at age 16 to live life on my own terms, my lifestyle changed drastically, I ate whatever tasted good, if my organs were talking to me, I was not hearing it, I was not even listening.
My restless, hyperactive self led me to live in several countries, the first being Venezuela, I spent most nights partying in the popular night clubs in Caracas and by day I worked as a housekeeper where I was able to hide my low moods.
By the time I came to the United States at age 25, I had already lived in 6 countries. My lifestyle finally made sense when I was diagnosed with not one but two genetically inherited conditions ADHD and Bipolar Disorder.
At first I refused to believe that something was wrong with my brain, the most vital organ in my body. What looked like a normal, fun, adventurous life to me, became “holy smokes”, I have to make some serious lifestyle changes..
My therapist told me that I needed to take lithium, a medication which has known side effects. My first reaction was, I ain’t taking no psych meds
But coming from a health-conscious background, I knew that if I was in optimal health, I’d have a better chance of managing my condition. I began practicing the 8 laws of health, the same ones I ran away from as a teenager.
However, the most important change I made, took place in my mind, I stopped defining who I am by my diagnoses. I gave my broken brain what it needed most love, high levels of Omega DHA, I started a plant based diet, aware that everything we put in our mouths affects our brain, I started daily breathwork and Meditation, instead of partying at nights I slept, I invested in the Rolls Royce of Trampolines for my high intensity exercises. The result of my lifestyle change is that today I am managing my condition and functioning with optimal health and minimal medication.
I learned that Genetics may load our guns but it is our own lifestyles that pull the trigger!!
My son recently told me that he will always remember me as being Extra, well I recently published my first Co-Authored book “The Gifts of Pain” and I’m already working on my second book, I could not accomplish any of this with my broken brain, but with my healed Extra-Brain, as you can see from where I’m standing, my future looks darn amazing! You can learn more about my Extra-Ordinary life in my book, I’m thrilled to autograph a copy for you.
Your organs are asking, give them what they need to serve you!

What an incredible story! She has been through and seen so much, it’s like a movie and I love her standards! I love how she refused to be owned like a piece of property , I honestly believe that he could have offered a billion and she would still walk away. It makes sense to me that she’s a caregiver, only strong people can do that and there’s outside strength and inside strength and she has both for sure. The healthy lifestyle might be the most important thing in this article because she pretty much lays out hot live a healthy life and avoid most common illnesses that we are subjected to. Nobody talks about diet and exercise so I commend this incredible woman with an amazing story and it would be a great move! learned that Genetics may load our guns but it is our own lifestyles that pull the trigger!! This line right here, I won’t forget! God bless you all

I loved reading this – I could feel the welcoming energy and the focus on being whole as the foundation to thriving. Some of Hannah’s thoughts, experiences, and wisdom stood out … “we’re not here to settle, here to thrive’, ‘true wealth begins with self worth’, etc. Also loved the humour and the reminder of the 8 Laws of Health. Thanks for sharing, Hannah!
