We recently connected with Hannah Morse, Rn and have shared our conversation below.
Hannah, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
One of the biggest risks I’ve taken was making a dramatic shift from a career in women’s health to the world of aesthetics. I was deeply passionate about working in the Postpartum/Nursery and had always dreamed of a long-term career there. But over time, the intense physical and emotional demands of the role began to feel unsustainable for me. I remember asking myself, “Can I keep doing this forever?” I knew I needed a change—something equally rewarding but with better work-life balance and more control over my professional life, while still allowing me to connect with patients.
Then came the COVID-19 pandemic, and like many others, I found myself reevaluating everything in my life. For me, it was a period of deep reflection and self-care, which sparked a newfound appreciation for the field of aesthetics. I started to see the potential for integrating my medical background, particularly my passion for dermatology and patient care, into this new field. The skills I had honed—listening to patient concerns, advocating for their well-being, and managing high-pressure situations—seemed like a natural fit for this new path.
Making the shift into aesthetics was exciting but also terrifying. I kept asking myself, “Is this really the right move?” But deep down, I knew I needed a change, and I trusted that combining my medical background with my passion for aesthetics could be the perfect balance. And it was.
This leap led to an even bigger risk: starting my own practice with my sister. We wanted to build something meaningful—a nurturing space for our clients and a legacy for our family. Launching our Med Spa in Nashville, Tennessee, was filled with uncertainty, but our shared vision and determination made it all worth it. Now, looking back, I see that taking these risks has been the most fulfilling thing I’ve done, both professionally and personally.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I’ve always had a passion for the medical field and helping people, which naturally led me to a career in nursing. I started in women’s health, specifically in the Postpartum/Nursery, but over time, the physical and emotional toll became a lot to carry. Like many, the COVID-19 pandemic forced me to take a hard look at my career and my life. It was during this time of reflection that I discovered my love for aesthetics—a field where I could blend my medical expertise, creativity, and passion for patient care and education.
Now, as a certified Skin Health Expert and Advanced Injector trained by some of the top professionals in the field, I specialize in treatments that help my clients feel and look their best. At Nash Injections by Hannah, we offer injectables like Botox and dermal fillers, along with medical-grade skincare, microneedling, and other advanced skin treatments. My focus is on providing natural-looking enhancements that leave clients feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and confident in their skin.
What sets me apart is my deeply personalized approach to every client interaction. I make it a priority to educate and collaborate with my clients. It’s really important to me that they feel fully informed and comfortable every step of the way. I’m incredibly proud that Nash Injections by Hannah is now recognized as one of the top Med Spa practices in Tennessee. But, more than the recognition, what brings me the most pride is seeing the boost in confidence that my clients leave with. Watching someone light up because they feel beautiful in their own skin—that’s the most rewarding part of my job.
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
For me, it’s all about taking a deeply personalized approach and always putting my patients’ best interests first. In the medspa industry, technical skills and training are essential, but what truly sets an injector apart is their moral compass and ethics. I’ve found success because my patients know that I’m genuinely looking out for them. That kind of integrity isn’t something that can be taught—it’s something that comes from within.
One piece of advice I always give to other entrepreneurs is to know your strengths and build your business around them. For me, operations and business management aren’t my strengths, but they are my sister’s specialty. She manages the business side while I focus on patient care, and that balance has been key to our success. I’m grateful every day that we’ve found a way to build something meaningful together.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
What’s really helped build my reputation is the emphasis I put on educating my clients. As the founder of a Nashville Med Spa and an Advanced Injector, I’ve noticed that many new clients come in not knowing much about their previous treatments. My sister and I experienced the same thing in our own aesthetic journeys, which is why we make education a priority at our Medspa practice.
Whether it’s a first-time client or someone returning, I always start with a consultation where we talk about their goals, explore treatment options, and collaborate on a personalized plan. I make it a point to ensure that my clients not only feel comfortable but also empowered with knowledge about their treatments. This level of care builds trust and sets me apart in the industry.
Recently, a client who had been getting Dysport injections since 2021 shared how she had never been educated on facial muscles or the aging process until she came to me. She left feeling more confident, valued, and in control of her decisions—and that’s exactly what keeps clients coming back. It’s not just about the results, it’s about the entire experience we provide.
