We were lucky to catch up with Hannah McKernan recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hannah , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Do you have any thoughts about how to create a more inclusive workplace?
As Solstizio Studios grows we are always looking for the opportunity to grow not only as a business but, personal growth within the company as well. Solstizio is a proud women owned business, and with that being said we want everyone and anyone who works for us to be proud of who they work for. I as a business owner want to make sure we are dedicated to making everyone we work with feel welcomed, whether you’re a client or and employee we want you to feel valued & like you have a voice. I give the opportunity to my team to have access to continuing education opportunities or workshops. I want them to become the best version of themselves they want to become. I try to be as supportive and open as I can when it comes to the options or suggestions I get from my team. I want them to know they should never be afraid to ask for help or offer advice on how we can make the workplace better. I am dedicated to make a workplace culture that is happy and inviting all while keeping inclusivity at the forefront of our business.
Hannah , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

How do you keep your team’s morale high?
I think the biggest takeaway when managing and growing a team is to always be involved. Whether its day to day, or weekly meetings, having your team feel like they can rely on you is such a big aspect in business. Keeping the conversation open on how we can grow and make a workplace that everyone is happy with is such a positive thing. I try to make time outside of work to show them they are appreciated so we plan at least once a month to do a team appreciation day. The saying treat people like you would want to be treated is something I really try to stick to when creating a happy work environment.
Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
Referrals, in the industry that we are in referrals are the best thing we could get, we want clients to be excited about our work so they want to share it with others. We strive to make sure all our clients have a wonderful and happy experience, and our team is dedicated to making sure we are doing everything we can to make you design process as smooth as possible. We have put systems in place to make sure our clients always know what stage were at in the process and have clear communication during the process from start to finish.
