We recently connected with Hannah Lowery and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Hannah, thanks for joining us today. I’m sure there have been days where the challenges of being an artist or creative force you to think about what it would be like to just have a regular job. When’s the last time you felt that way? Did you have any insights from the experience?

Before, Ive been asked if I would ever quit working in the entertainment industry to pursue another career. Personally, I believe that you should love what you do. I am a hard worker and dedicated person with a love for acting and content creating. My greatest interest is acting, and it is the ideal career choice for me. I am beyond happy continuing to work in this industry as I grow up. I am blessed to be able to perform and have this lifestyle. I don’t have any interest in having a regular job when I am achieving my goals as a 17 year old girl. The career I have chosen is perfect for me and my lifestyle and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

Hannah, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

My name is Hannah Lowery, and I am a 17 year old actress, dancer, and content creator. I’ve been performing my entire life. Being a competitive dancer, gymnast, and pageant winner, has given me the opportunity to perform and use stage present skills. I went to a performing arts middle school where I started doing theater. At the end of my eighth grade year, and I really wanted to continue performing and acting. I decided I wanted to start acting professionally. At first, I didn’t understand how the industry worked, but over the years, I have really gained a clear understanding of being an actor, and what it intakes. I have worked on several commercials, industrial projects, print and short films. My biggest goal is to work on a huge production for a film or TV show. Recently, I passed my CHESPE test so I can work as legal 18. That has been one of my biggest accomplishments recently, and took so much hard work. Along with acting, I also have a social media platform on, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. I love making Content and creating. As I continue to work hard as an actor, I also would love to continue to grow my social media as well. One company I have worked for a lot is Dhar Mann studios. I have worked on many projects and always have an amazing time. One of my favorite things about acting is meeting new people and Dhar Mann studios has an amazing work environment. I am very grateful for every audition I receive, because even if I don’t book it, it is an opportunity for practice. Some of my favorite things to do in my free time are, painting, going to the beach, fishing, and hanging out with my friends. For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

The most rewarding aspect of being an actor is receiving any opportunity to perform. Whether it’s an audition, call back, or you book a job, every opportunity to do what you love is a win. Obviously, the end goal is booking the job, but all of the steps before that only help you become a better actor. Although there is so much rejection in this industry, hard work will pay off if you have passion and drive for what you do.

Have you ever had to pivot?

A time when I had to make a huge decision was actually recently when I had to decide if I was going to continue competitive dance or focus on my career. This decision was so hard for me because I have been dancing since I was a little girl and it would have been my last year as a competitive dancer. I came to the realization that if I really wanted to focus on my career, quitting dance would be the right choice for me. Now that I have become legal 18 I have been able to work more and book more jobs. I don’t regret my decision and I am very happy that I chose my career. I have been prioritizing my fitness and making sure I stay healthy and fit because dancing every night was my release and exercise. This choice has made me a stronger individual and I wanted the decision to be what was best for me.
