We were lucky to catch up with Hannah Jacobs Martin recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hannah , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
In order to be successful you must realized that it does not come over night. It takes hard work and dedication. When most people think in their mind oh in a few months I’ll rich it’s way more than that.

Hannah , love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I have always loved serving and helping others. Before my 30th Birthday I created a 30 before 30 list and getting my bartender certification was on that list. 2 weeks after I finished I received a call to see if I could fill in as another bartender has backed out for a wedding. So I did and it took off from there. My business I call The Drippy Bartender & we serve all NC, SC & move up to VA! Services we are off are bartending, servers & we even have clean up packages. How we help are clients is simply, we come prepared to each event with all the supplies we need & serve their guest. We monitor their guest to make sure they have not had to much to drink as well as making sure they have a ride home. When serving we can do a buffet style or plate it for your guest and bring it to them while they remain seated. I feel what sets me apart from others is how we become friends with all of our clients. I send thank you cards, follow them all on social media and keep in contact. We also join in on the dance floor and dance with them while they are at the bar. I have set a goal of doing 50 events this year. We currently have 19.
What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
Mobile bartending & bartenders are starting to become more popular. When I first started I was so nervous after I saw how many where in the triad area. I feel what helped me the most was consistency in posting in my social media, networking with vendors and venues, as well as pushing myself to be authentic.

How did you put together the initial capital you needed to start your business?
When I first decided that I wanted to do this business, I knew that I had to figure out how to bring in money to fund it. I currently still work FT as a healthcare supervisor and had to budget to supply for not only my household but the business, I took jobs just for what people could afford & eventually I had enough to start.
